  • Bought a rechargeable lamp for the flat. Totally prepared 😂
Forgot about my bike, not entirely sure when that will be transported.
Thinking about some of the positives of the move. Definitely looking forward to not having a long bus commute. It also saves the cost of the bus which is usually around £90.
Managed to collect my sister's birthday present from where it was left outside the flat before it snowed and bonus my book has been delivered a week early. So that will be my nice evening tomorrow in the flat. Romance novel, tea and the fire on if I can clean it.

I hope your moving day goes well! The rechargeable lamp is a good idea, and so is saving £90 in bus fares.

    What a bus saving! 🥂

Sounds like a grand 'housewarming' evening
  • Well the good news is my stuff (minus bike which is a later problem) is in my flat.
The bad news is I am not.
It snowed. And that means public transport goes to s**t. And my bright idea was get a car get stuff go home. Everything worked except the go home part. 😂
Now the last bus option before I have to stay in a hotel. Wil/ it happen?

Oh no! No taxis available? Get somewhere warm as soon as you can, and if it has to be a hotel, that's okay.

I hope Thursday was easier. You must have been worn out.

  • Glad you got back okay, ouch to three hours but £10 is a bargain compared to a hotel!

Would you consider moving somewhere with better public transport or was it just one of those things?
  • Very much in anything goes mode at the moment Cherry. Just having to chip away at stuff as and when.
PiP you're definitely a city mouse 🤣🤣🤣 The buses stop running here in bad weather. It was unfortunate timing on my part to go and collect stuff from the old house.
Currently life is expensive as I do the last bits and pieces. Have a different electric company coming to quote in December.
Work hours are officially full time from Monday for the peak season fun fun. I can retire my overtime spreadsheet.

    *squeaks in urban, faints*

Great you're getting stuff sorted, and another electrics quote is lined up.
And hooray for full-time money at least! 🥂
