I hope all goes well and they turn out to be organised after all! However it goes, well done for giving it a try. It certainly has potential to help pay your way and give you structure, income and exercise (all very useful).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks @savingholmes, @dawnybabes, @cherryfudge, @PennysIntoPounds.
If anyone had a bet on me walking out within the first hour…
Sorry to say you’d have lost your money 😂
I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was really nice. The postie they had me working with had been there for nearly forty years.I was a bit on edge when I showed up but it seems like they are happy to do 30 hours and have scheduled me to finish at 15.30 so phew. I just have to double check Thursday is my day off and then I should be ok to keep working there.
I went to the flat first as well, thinking I would maybe try planting all those bulbs I bought but I did not take into account the dark (doesn’t get light until just before 8am) or the fact that it was raining. So I decided it was an investigative visit and took myself off to Star$ for tea and a pastry.
It was nice to feel a bit more a part of things again- even strap hanging on the bus was a wormhole into normalcy. Although less so when I put my hand on a wet strap 🤮
I have a few things in mind to review this evening. The electric blanket is on and my leg muscles very much appreciate this.6 -
