That was a full day - I hope your brain allows you to wake up at an appropriate time tomorrow!
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

  • I do write about Dad and me already, although I am low on words at the moment.
I appreciated dad’s reactions to things, he was more low key than the rest of my family. The others, Teacup especially, are more on the emotive side. I can find that overwhelming and don’t really enjoy talking to them.

  • In Starbucks gearing up for another day at the madhouse. This week I am maintaining an awareness of my spending but being realistic about it given time constraints. My priority has to be eating enough.
This week is a new set of work practices to learn and overtime at the cleaning job. Hence the food coming first 😂
Sadly I’m in a van now so my step count was only 25k yesterday 🥲. I kept telling the driver to stop and let me walk 🤣🤣🤣
I’m getting a very sharp introduction to the new job. Again, they’re not exactly making themselves look good. One poor girl is getting overwhelmed and they are not exactly supportive.
Employers don’t seem to understand the cycle of hiring people who will let themselves be treated badly because they’re desperate and their long term culture and retention problems 🤷
  • Managed to leave the house without putting my thick woollen socks on so had to buy a pair in sainsbugs. Can’t wear my work shoes without thick socks. Bought mens thermals and my feet are so toasty.
Quite spendy though as I also bought lunch. I did make my own though as the prepackaged ones didn’t really look appetising.

It sounds as though you are due a weekend. :) I know my cleaning job is a fairly cushy one: the worst mess was a group of new adults who left coffee cups everywhere. I think our manager 'said something' because it didn't happen again. In a previous (non-cleaning) job I've had to deal with several different types of body fluids on various occasions.

Yes, babies are in a class of their own! I had a one-year-old all day yesterday, clingy and sad because she'd just had injections and felt grotty. By five o'clock I'd eaten but was well down on fluid intake because it was hot drink weather and I didn't want to risk hot drinks near her. I will plan better next week! I'm surprised I'm not aching from carrying her but she's tiny and has her own muscles to support herself.

  • I have a feeling that the bus I am waiting for will not turn up🤦 I’m in early today for an assessment and was awake at 5. Will now be sitting at the bus stop for another 25 minutes. Ugh.
I wondered if perhaps there were behavioural issues in that bit Cherry. So I asked the janitor about it and yeah there’s a few apparently. And potentially a student teacher so I suspect there is nothing to be done about it.
  • Maligned the bus unnecessarily. It was only 3 minutes late.
we aren’t allowed to clean bodily fluids thankfully the janitor does it as they have to have special training.
I do feel sorry for babies when they get their jabs, it hits them hard
  • The good news is I am all caught up on diaries. The bad news is it is because the 8am bus I was waiting for didn’t turn up. So guessing game now of will I get to work on time?
The novelty effect of this schedule has most certainly worn off. Although I have just realised it is daylight now which is a novelty in itself.
Did a mini calendar review and freaked myself out thinking how annoyingly close Christmas is. Stuck on what to get for pretty much everyone and not keen on ordering online (seems like increasing workload now 😂😂😂)
so into town tomorrow on day off.
