  • It was a two paracetamol and a nap day in the end. Although I did then take the two teabag advice 🤷
  • So… This week in a nutshell. Two days lost to a dehydration headache. One rest day. Nephew day and that brings us to now.
Had an interesting chat with a colleague as I was leaving last night and between that and the being unwell (and subsequent boredom) I managed an evening where I was not fighting mental demons. So winning.
I have booked a joiner to come and look at the floor in two weeks. There are other plans afoot but trying to get them out of a brain broken by small children aint gonna happen
  • Work and booking a joiner is very productive. Hope you have some restful time doing things that bring pleasure this weekend

Well done on winning. :) It sounds like a bit of a tough week but you did it.

    Well done booking the joiner

  • Hope the joiner helps you resolve the issues with the floor. It will be a relief once it's done.

  • Feeling a bit floored these last few days. Not done much of anything really except watch old episodes of location (x3) and try to consume enough food and drink. Having the most energy sapping hormonal time too.
Im genuinely unsure if this time is beneficial or no. I’ve spent a bit of money on books and food, I’ve lost the sense of urgency that usually plagues me and I’m not really doing anything motivated by stress. Of course I’m also not doing anything at all. It’s hard to actually tell if I’m relaxing or not.
Best go and lock up, this building is roasting as they have the heat on despite the hot weather.
  • Went to lock up last night only to hear voices. Haven’t lost my marbles thankfully- apparently I should have been told they were there as they knew I’d be locking up 🤷

Im reading the lazy genius book at the moment and thought her magical question was quite interesting ’what can I do now to make later easier?’

You are holding down a job. That is to be applauded.

I like that question. I used to have a sign I made that said 'Will my future self thank me for this decision?' It was intended to help me not over-spend when I left the house so I had it on my front door.

My version is ‘loving my future self’. Essentially the same thing. 🙂
