That all sounds very positive. One can't achieve basic things let alone excellent things if they're living with work dread3

The feeling of relief tells you a lot, doesn't it. And so does the fact the other job is more relaxed. I've been doing my cleaning job 7 months now and I'm still enjoying it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It occurred to me last night that I am overdue an update, some sort of state of the nation type thing. However my cognition being what it is, things occur to me in bits and pieces.Progress is being made in some areas. I’m working on ways to keep myself organised. This helps with the feeling of insecurity or ‘not knowing what I’m doing’. My main issue is starting and finishing, even when it is something I want to do. So knowing how everything fits together in my life areas helps.
Income wise, I am being paid for 15 hours a week cleaning, one day a week looking after my nephew. Sister has suggested raising that money slightly to help me out. I am thinking about taking her up on it but offering to do additional tasks like cleaning as I don’t feel comfortable taking more without doing more.I will add hopefully to my income when I can start doing deliveries again, that is not working out mentally yet.
Home - I am thinking that I am still too insecure to live on my own yet. If I am in my sisters there is always food available and a low cost supermarket near enough to walk without it being a burden. I have been cooking a bit more so that is building up slowly.I am trying to create a picture in my mind of what my flat will look like. I have begun working on a floor plan for the renovation. It can be frustrating- my annoyance is a mental rule that says I don’t have any money so I can’t do anything. I’m trying to change my thinking to do the free/low cost tasks instead.
Debt wise - I think I am working towards a payment plan but I can’t sort out details until I get a full month on my payslip. It’s one of the cognitive tasks I have to do in bits.Ideally I’d be recharging my batteries today- sadly my usual method for that involves spending money. Also there is a small person who hangs about 😂😂😂 I might try doing something with him and see if that rejuvenates.2 -
The time with your sister's family seems to be right for you at the moment and it's helpful that she's thinking of upping your income. A couple of things occur to me: one is that I've heard that in a circumstance like that, she could offer to forgo some of her NI contributions to go to you (I'm sorry I don't remember details, it was mentioned on my thread last year I think). The other is I'd suggest being specific about what jobs: perhaps that you take charge of the laundry as that's always a big one and is also something your nephew can help with. You could add on other bits and pieces as you felt able but having a boundary would help define it for you and for your sister.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Interesting points Cherry, the laundry is something I had considered doing. It seems to take up entire weekends.
I’m off out this afternoon. I bumped into someone i used to work with and we have arranged to meet for coffee. I am taking a break from considering my options. Although I do have to contemplate a jaunt to Edinburgh in Tuesday. I would be accompanying the sister in the morning then getting the train home in the afternoon in time for work. It comes under the heading of adventure which is looking rather empty for the next well, forever.I’ve been playing with Small One this morning, hopefully don’t fall asleep2 -
Maybe you should just accept your sister's offer of a pay raise. I'm pretty sure you are worth it without taking on additional duties. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
