Bills paid is very good and there's nothing wrong with accepting someone wanting to support a loved one while they're working out their route forwards.
Great work on the mystery shop! Were you terribly mysterious? I hope a trench coat and a trilby hat were worn 😁4 -

I shall be looking out for people wearing trilbys and trench coats and eating lemon pancakes and if I see one I shall assume it's you. I'm the one turning my collar up in sympathy, half closing my eyes and nodding meaningfully. I will probably get thrown out.
How nice that Teacup has helped out! After all, you have been a big help to your family, and as PIP says, it's okay to help each other.
I've sometimes thought I'd like to try a mystery shop but I'm not sure how I'd remember all the things I was supposed to observe.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Ha my current hat is more bag lady than sherlock holmes. It was removed so as not to incite suspicion that I was casing the joint.
£32 earth pounds are now winging their way to me 😜
PiP the company is currently running an accessibility audit that you can do from home if you’re interested.
Cherry this particular task involves following a list in the app. Most of their tasks have specific instruction lists supplied in advance.
KoK the lemon pancakes were enjoyed this morning. Much better than making similar myself!
New job starts today- mildly apprehensive but planning to just take in what I can. A mint aero will be keeping me company for comfort.2 -

Sarahwithlove the mystery shopping can be a bit random but good. Thanks all for good wishes. First day went well. They seem very chilled and just leave you to get on with it. It is quite an old and worn down building so it may be harder to keep clean but we shall see. Team Leader says it’ll take me a month to get used to it 🤷
LB has gone off for his nursery visit. The rule I am currently using as my fixed point will be changing as he will be in nursery full time from next week. I am now in the position where I need a new fixed point.
Money wise, I am thinking very small. I would like to start next month with money in my account.I have been in touch with care job about potentially working nights. I’m not 100% though as part of me thinks I shouldn’t do something so debilitating.3 -
That job sounds as though it might suit you!
When you say a fixed point, is this an activity that occurs at the same time every week, so you can space out your other activities from there?
I worked nights for a couple of years: I found it much better to do nights in a bunch, say three or four together, then have a good chunk of time off. The body seems to adapt, and it certainly worked for me (you feel more your own boss, but that depends if you are lone working or not).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
