  • I think the issue in families can be that if your parents are divergent you pick up behaviours. In my sisters case it is bad anxiety which sometimes gets confused with asd.

That's an interesting point about the behaviours: I know I've picked up some from each of my parents. I hope you can have a better beach day with the family next time.

Thankfully Sister Acts storms blow over quite quickly but they are intense. She has paid me in advance for minding LB until he goes to nursery so am living off that.
In a fine example of first world problems, it is cheaper to buy a new weighted blanket than it is to dry clean the old one. It was in the flat and has been infested with what I assume are moths. It has been washed but not removed the cocoons. Yuck.
Money wise, I am no further on. Bringing my accounts up to date would be less than £1000 which is quite lowering to think about. It’s all relative, it seems so far away and yet could be achieved in a relatively short period of time. If it wasn’t for a brain saying NO.
I’ve started a youtube course on dealing with anxiety because quite frankly I am getting f**ked off with the ridiculousness of it all now.

Quote for the day- its about identifying the structure of your work and life
  • Sometimes getting f**cked off with how things/brains seem to think is the only way to be is an excellent way forward, as long as you're taking care of yourself in the meantime.
Would it make you feel better overall bringing your accounts up to date? And what would you theoretically do to achieve this in what time if so?
  • I use a crocheted blanket in place of a weighted blanket. It is washable and helps me sleep just as well. I just put it over a regular blanket.
  • Is the crochet blanket heavy? My weighted blanket is 16lb.

right now my plan is to stay awake until 9pm.
I did not sleep well last night and it has affected my ability to think. So I’m taking the night off from plans.
  • Yes it is. I also have one I knitted that I did with double yarn that is really heavy.

Interesting. Must check that out. My blanket is washable but it has to go in washing machine for 18kg as its so heavy when wet. My problem now is making sure the moths are dead. It has cocoons on it so they need to be cleaned as well 🤦

It was a two tea bag day before Little Bulldog got scratched in the face by the cat. Both he and the cat move faster than auntie in the morning.
Last extra childcare day today anyway. Teacup arrives on Saturday which necessitates planning as can’t really make her sleep on the couch again.

    A 2 tea bag day...
Interesting reading about the weighted blanket...
Well done with your list  :)

  • It ended up a two teabag day x 3 DIA.

Extremely fatigued after my first attempt at a mystery shop in a long time. It took way longer than expected but will net me £30 if it passes. If it doesn’t I’m down 6.70 thanks to impulse buying lemon pancakes, apples and butter.

Bills have been paid by Teacup. I am embarrassed by this but feel it was necessary. I wasn’t sleeping and was getting to the point of not being able to do anything. Part fatigue, part demand avoidance.
I am not a fan of label chasing so I have been thinking more about the demand avoidance. I think on some occasions it is because I a living to some sort of rule than I am not necessarily aware of.
