Up early today, off out to see Small One do gymnastics. I suspect I have been invited to do the energetic part while Sister Act sits with Very Small One.
Work a strange place. Picked up from a place with a broken order system so ended up waiting 20 odd minutes for it. Eventually delivered it and the customer gave me a £10 tip! I felt bad and wanted to give it back though because his order had been so long.
An update on the milk powder- I used a spoon and it did clump. Normally I shake it in from the packet and no clumping.2 -
Nice to get a tip like that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I wouldn't worry about the tip - you had to wait 20 minutes due to their system, which is 20 minutes you could have been earning elsewhere, so perhaps that's why you were tipped.
I think you may have found a useful bit of info there for dealing with milk powder.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I suspect it is learned behaviour, my rational (autistic) brain told me that actually I'd waited for the order and if I hadn't they might have just cancelled it.
I have been to Small One's gymnastics. Poor boy is snotty again and a bit overwhelmed with all this change going on.
I leapfrogged off the positive energy from the morning and decided to brave the swimming pool. Disaster nearly struck on the way as I ended up in the wrong lane on the dual carriageway and had a number of crappy people shouting at me. Lost my temper and shouted back at one of them. It was not a thought improving journey.
Let's face it, council gyms are never going to be asd friendly but my swim cost £1 and apparently I can go to the gym for £3.50.

If it's only a swimming pool then they deserved to get shouted back at if they started it. That is an excellent price and you deserve to be there as much as anyone else even if you do have to get used to it, so did they when they joined. Harrumph to them!1

It was a bargain swim, though swimming baths can be very echoey - you might find some times are quieter than others? £3.50 for the gym is great!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I know money is tight - but you can get earphones you can wear while swimming if you think they might help - or failing that cheap foam ear plugs. I don't cope well with the latter as it seems to magnify the drumming of my heart beat which can freak me out but some people find them helpful.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

An update is overdue as is well, everything these days. I shall start with the positive (ish).
I went to a meetup for autistic women which was actually really enjoyable. Everyone who turned up also happened to be new. It was nice to be able to talk freely for a change although I still feel like I'm maybe not really in the same place as the others.
But then I don't have to be.
My main focus has been helping out sister act since Thursday. Friday evening though I went out to work and wound up taking only 2 orders as I just got far too cold. Saturday I stayed the night then just didn't leave 🤷
I think I've been struggling with such a big change and just thinking about myself now is too overwhelming. And I keep hyper focusing on one thing then completely draining myself dry, even when it is something I like.
Thankfully Teacup has very nicely shared some money from Dad's estate which means I can live for a few months if I am prudent (🤣🤣🤣). I am very much not wanting to waste it so I would like to have an agreement within myself of how it will be spent. So thinking is on the agenda. My initial thought is the flat renovation but I am not 100% certain.
