  • I may or may not have been out in the garden sawing down branches and what not this morning. It felt quite enjoyable and mildly therapeutic at the time. I have missed the garden.
The cold is now a mightily frustrating cough. How times have changed though, I have so many cold etc remedies now whereas I used to just get on with it.
    They ain't half expensive though.
I am considering a walk beside the river to blow out some cobwebs but that may turn into a nap.
Still formally undiagnosed SH. If I can afford one next year I shall probably do that. I'm on the waiting list here but it's two years. I will look up elopement
  • Got quite tired in the writing of the last post and so ended it where it was.
I was thinking something along those lines, a back up plan as it were Cherry. But that shall be postponed until I am no longer coughing up my lungs.
I have gone for a Lovely Walk down to the river beside where I live. I have been avoiding it as it meant that I was home and well, Dad was gone. But actually I felt quite peaceful and close to Dad there.
However there may have been another reason for avoiding it and that is what goes down must go up again. I was thinking to myself as I rounded the last hill before the river oh oh. Don't over do it you'll have to come back up again. And subsequently I overdid it and am now standing writing this half way up a hill for motivation.

When we went to a stately garden yesterday, the gardener jokingly told me could do some weeding, so I did. It made me happy. Gardens are, to paraphrase a meme, the best therapy, and you get tomatoes.

One thought: if it wasn’t you sawing down branches in your garden, who was it?

a fire not strictly necessary today but I am enjoying the flames.
Upstairs appear to be having some sort of row which is unnerving, however the fire is keeping me calm enough. Below is the river walk.

The river is beautiful. And isn't the water high!

  • Yes it was unusually high water yesterday, couldn't remember seeing it like that before. That being said, it is not a walk I generally do in winter as the path is permanently shaded and sometimes has ice up to March. And also path may be a misnomer as in places it is little more than a trail.
Still coughing. Having a debate with myself about going out to get a magazine and some downloads from YouTube so I have something to watch (no Internet in flat). Found myself watching an episode of abstract yesterday that I had previously downloaded and enjoyed it.
  • Beautiful photo of the river. I would love to walk beside it!
    Hope your cough goes soon
