I have one of these accounts but I didn’t really see the point...?

on maturity you only get 1% interest, so why fix your money for 6 months for 1% when you can get more than that with easy access??

This one sounds interesting. Can anyone who's signed up to it advise on the ease, or otherwise, of signing up? Is it straightforward, or are they into requiring copies of passports, or video calls, or stuff like that?

I opened this account, my first with Shawbrook, without any difficulties - quick, easy, straightforward.

I have, however, lost access to their esavings - it worked fine to begin with, but now... I guess I'll have to phone them, which is not something I look forward to.

What do you mean by 'lost access to'? Is it meant to be a common login for this and your new account, but when you log in you an only see the new one?
