So in theory, I could put in another lump sum in a couple of months, providing they haven't withdrew the account?0 -
Yep
not sure if it will still be around in two months though!1 -
Yes.............SickGroove said:How long can you pay deposits in for?
Opened today with £1 test payment which appeared after a few hours...
Then sent another £4999 this evening...awaiting for that to appear
Looking to then transfer in final 20K tomorrow...
Will this be OK?1 -
Just set up an account, no response yet. Very sensible about the £1 initial deposit, will do this.
Regarding bank responses, initiated a chat with Chase bank yesterday, they took 10 hours to respond 😂 it wasn’t an urgent query, but still!0 -

I have one of these accounts but I didn’t really see the point...?
on maturity you only get 1% interest, so why fix your money for 6 months for 1% when you can get more than that with easy access??0 -
No, for the same 6 month period you'd earn more interest for the same amount of money in an account earning 2% AER than 1.5% AER.ranciduk said:I have one of these accounts but I didn’t really see the point...?

1% in six months. Chase's 1.5% AER account would only pay 0.75% in six months.ranciduk said:I have one of these accounts but I didn’t really see the point...?
