Hi all
Terrible nights sleep last night, weird dreams. Went out for a walk/jog at 6.30am because I needed to wake myself up and it helped a bit.
Paid stuff done, dw emptied, mince hotpot made for DH, trying to decide if I can be bothered to make myself something veggie or whether I should take something out of the freezer.
I could nap.
Need to post my nieces birthday present and need to get bread and eggs. Garden needs weeding desperately, and I need to sort out a few things for our weekend away. Might make a brew and take it outside and make a start on the garden. The sun is coming out.

Nothing to report. Thunder storms on and off for the past 2 nights. A day of rain forecast for tomorrow. The waterbutts are full once again.
Work, home, dinners prepped, WULTD, kitchen dailies done, wm run, HHI. Ditto yesterday and today. Dinners / menu planned meals have been masterpieces in using up left overs and odds and ends, even if I say so myself! I’m not sure that DH has even noticed, so win-win.DH finally moving forward on the momentous decision of retirement. Looks like we will have a tight year ahead, but hopefully we can make it work as long as he pulls his weight and does some of the long outstanding house and outside jobs in return.Busy couple of days ahead outside of work - not really for me, but I am the taxi in all the arrangements.
Have a lovely weekend off / away, YL7 -
Big day at school (first exam over!) so given myself the night off schoolwork. 8yo with HD. Having a friend round tomorrow night to sit in the garden has inspired me to get going out there and tidy, sweep, repot a few things. Looking better. Have also tidied SR, bits and bobs of hoovering and done a good job in the kitchen. Bed soon, slept terribly last night thanks to lightening and anxiety 😕 Hope all well x9

Elbree, I taught myself to crochet granny squares from internet videos, I found it simple I've only done solid granny squares and a batman hat so nothing challenging but find crocheting squares relaxing
Valli, you are starting to get through to me with your don't put it down, put it away. A couple of times last week I put something down and then thought no, it doesn't take any longer to go and put it away.
Hugs to all, keep those SMILES smiling.9 -
Evening all.
Not quite the day I had planned, but I have crossed a few things - mainly admin stuff - off my list. When the gardener came yesterday I emptied the big pots of all the spring bulbs and he replaced the compost, so they are ready for the summer plants. I am also gradually planting out the perennials that I have bought over the past couple of years, which are still sitting in trays on the steps, but most them will have to wait for space in the borders until the forget-me-nots are over.
DH says we are going out for lunch tomorrow, so I shall have to get my skates on in the morning. Though hopefully I won't wake up as early as I did this morning: 04:50, and I couldn't get back to sleep so I was shattered by lunchtime. [ETA - not much better today! It's only 05:40 now, and I've already been down to make myself a cuppa and read the news headlines]
Before I fall into bed I must send an e-card to my friend in Germany for her birthday tomorrow... [done]
Hope your dreams are good ones xx [Mine were a bit weird, but I can't remember them now!]8 -
Much to my surprise I tested negative this morning, though I feel just as rough as yesterday. Still it's a start. Mr N will test tomorrow. He's thankfully continuing to have far fewer signs than me; very very tired but that's about it now. I still feel as if I have a very heavy cold. Tried hayfever tablet this morning, then a decongestant later this afternoon as I was so fed up with sniffing/blowing nose - sorry tmi.
Did drum lesson via Zoom.
Continued writing my last report.
Did a reasonable amount in the garden, considering.
Credit received from Monday's theatre cancellation.
That's it for today. Tomorrow will be better.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Good to hear from you, Narc0. Don't overdo things or you'll set your recovery back. And tell MrN that flying can wait! xx8
