You require them to prove that the sign was there. That sign map probably has no provenance - no date, no witness name etc.
It's a Google Maps image dated 2020. The alleged contravention was 2018.

Also, they've conveniently omitted to include one of the original photos of parking sign from which it is evident (from background) that it is a sign many metres away & across a road from car park used. Would the parking officer not have submitted photos of a sign opposite my car & within close vicinity of the car park used if it so existed??!
  • I have a YouTube video, uploaded Jan 2018 (contravention Mar 2018) which shows there was no such sign opposite where I parked. I'm worried about the provenance of this upload date however. Any thoughts?

It does atleast demonstrate that the sign they have lied about has not always been there. (Video also supports my defence that there was building work & obvious museum car park was cordoned off)......

Digital photos and videos have embedded information called metadata that often includes things like date created, date modified, and sometimes GPS data depending on the device that was used to record it.
This data should be in the image/video file properties folder.

Thanks but it's not my video, it's a video uploaded by someone else. I presume the file properties folder is only accessible to the video maker?

Use it anyway, but you may still be able to access the metadata by looking at the file/folder properties.

Oh I plan to! Just worried that if I'm going to argue that their image date invalidates their evidence they could say the same about my video 🤔

How important are the details on the PCN?  Does "Location" on the PCN have to be correct? If car was parked on different landowner's property can defendant claim the PCN is invalid?

Yes, the location on the PCN must be correct. The PoFA states that the location of the relevant land where the alleged event occurred must be stated.
