That's fine - and if you can't get the landowner/retailers to cancel them (the easiest and most urgent route...always absolutely exhaust this BEFORE trying an appeal) you will be appealing anyway and that will go in online with you inputting the correct postal address anyway.

  • Ok, although you said to wait until the notice to hirer arrives before appealing? That's the issue I'm having, which thing to do first.

If you are a hirer you have to wait for the rk to transfer liability and for you to receive your NTH.

Check the rk has done that and that they hold and provided the right postal address for you if that's in question.

  • So the redirect seems to have worked and I have received the nth from the first citation. Still waiting on the landowner, so I will give that a few more days. So after that my plan is to appeal on the mayor keying error and see where they go from there. Hopefully the other one will arrive soon and I can follow the same procedure. I don't really have an issue paying the reduced admin fee as I did make the mistakes, but we'll see what happens.
  • Also, the nth came with no extra documents so... I'll keep that in mind too.

Yes, do keep that in mind.

That means there is no way that the parking company can hold you, as the hirer, liable for this parking event as long as they don't know who was driving.

Refer to paragraphs 13 and 14 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

You plan should be to appeal on the missing documents not supplied with the Notice to Hirer.

Have a read of the three template appeals by @Edna_Basher towards the bottom of the opening post of the NEWBIES thread. One of them will be entirely suitable for your situation.

Yes I'm aware of that also. To that end, I plan to wait until 3 weeks from the date of the nth in order to run down the clock on their side. What do you think?

I've studied those bits in detail as that was my original plan. But yeah, I suppose appealing along both lines at the same time is the best course of action. Or are you saying to forget the keying error and just go with the missing docs?
