  • Ok. I'll do that tomorrow. Do I do that via their website? Also, is the fact that I haven't had a notice to hirer going to affect that?
  • Nevermind on the first, I've found the email address for the dpo, but yeah, should I wait for a notice to hirer, or email informing them that the hire company have informed me, and they will likely have the wrong address due to the move??
  • Also, will that reset the dates with which they have to send me the documents iaw pofa? Sorry for the shotgun posts, I can't edit my posts yet.

Do the Data Rectification Notice immediately - it is outside of any other action you or the PPC may take.  You do NOT want a default judgment because the PPC sent court claims to the wrong address!
  • Ok. I've sent one to ecp. I will send one to pe today. I did change my addresses last week, so they should have the right one but I will cover that base anyway

Changing the address with the DVLA sends no alert to parking firms already holding the wrong details.  Nor can they ask the DVLA a second time.  Not allowed.

So it is always up to the consumer to rectify the address data with all parties.

  • I've sent emails to both companies notifying them of the change. Surely I can't get in any trouble then if I've notified them?

  • I've not had any replies reference the emails. Is this something to be concerned about? If they don't check that, and the mail redirect doesn't get the new citations to my new address, is that not an issue?

Nope.  If you sent it to the DPO email on their privacy pages they have a legal duty to monitor those emails and rectify data.
