A couple of half hearted hours at the allotment - hard work despite the day of rain last week.Lunch just downed, then it will be a couple of hours in the gh. DH is painting the shed. This is a Major Breakthrough…
Last week’s slinky win of 2lb loss has become this week’s slinky no-win of a lb gained. I’m rubbish at this slinky game.

Hi all
Trip to the big supermarket to stock up, called at parents on the way home. Then gave the fridge a good clean before filling it up, cleaned dw filters and oven. That doesnt sound much but has filled most of the day.
We ate tea outside as it has been lovely weather (although I am wearing a big jumper as I am permanently cold, hoping this is not a sign of thyroid trouble).
Cycling in the morning, DH is fishing. Need to check the finance spreadsheets and my windows are looking grubby so that's a job for tomorrow (if I feel like doing it).9 -
Started the messy and never ending job of scrubbing the winter grot off the decking - with 8yo 'helping', we certainly displaced a lot of grot onto us so I suppose that's progress.
Everything everywhere now and not moving it back until it's done - July maybe!
Also big shop away, DW X2 and bits of hoovering here and there.
Just wondering if I should try crocheting, have heard it's very difficult. I like to knit but feel I'd like to try something new and I love the look of the granny square blankets. 🤔 Perhaps I need to buy a hook and give it a go.8 -

Morning all.
Usual lovely babysitting yesterday so only dailies got done.
Today I aspire to cut grass, sort out new to us treadmill and properly set up fit bit so I can join slinky, dailies, walk dogs twice, s&s bathrooms, scrub kitchen sink, repair zip on pair of trousers.........mmmm......that's quite enough aspirations.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all.
It was worth going on that training course yesterday - meeting up with friends; sitting in the sunshine during coffee/tea surrounded by beautiful gardens; and an excellent speaker - but, boy! am I tired today! (and I didn't stay up to watch the Eurovision result!)
I'm off to church early this morning to set up a display and have to go back this afternoon for an extra service. I've already been out in the garden in the rain picking forget-me-nots and choisya to make a small posy. Very glad the washing all dried on the whirligig yesterday.
My to-do list, which at the beginning of last week was gi-normous, has shrunk considerably, so I must have done something right. No doubt new things will add themselves to it this week...
See you later on the new thread - hope everyone has a good day xx8 -
Jazee, I so wish I had the room for another treadmill, I hope the set up goes ok.It seems to be raining here..........OH and I were off to walk around the local carboot, and then to cheer on the local marathon runners, however we are now having a rethink. Well OH is while he showers, I am going to clean the kitchen.Have a good dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Kaz, the treadmill is quite a small one that can just hide behind a door. Our old one was heavy and took up too much room.
So far, I've had a lovely soak in the bath listening to radio, s&sd downstairs loo, put bath mats into a bleach solution, scrubbed kitchen sink and repaired the trousers. That was a five minute job. Why do I put these things off?Spend less now, work less later.8 -
