*skids in the back door and hopes that nobody notices her tardiness…*Thank you for the thread. I will keep aiming to level one as the house is a pit and is getting…..pittier (yes, obviously I made that up!). I think that I said the same last week / year / decade too.
A long night in the WAC, busy day at work, but at least we are back to all hands to the pump for a couple of weeks. Potentially difficult week coming up, though.Today’s flying has been:
wm x 1, DH hung the towels outside and they are dry
HHI to almost clear the ironing pile from the weekend
dinner cooked, WULTD, kitchen dailies done (ticks off a couple from the level 1 list)
anniversary card assembled for DSis, stamp actually found, so card ready to post rather than having to wait until next year
bedding changed, summer duvet swapped for heavy one. I will get some sleep somehow
car dropped at garage for them to look at brakes / Christmas light show on the dashboard.
Not so bad, now that I have listed it here.
Well done, Kaz, on the amazing walking and weight loss.
YL, don’t fret, some (ex)auditors are (almost) human 😉
Welcome, Vicki
Hugs to all xx9 -
No flying done... new job a.m. and I got a call to say we'd had THE CALL at old job. I, apparently, am ring-fenced so will not be visited.
Thank you to a a very kind Flylady...DD showed me her page.
It it will be bathroom tomorrow. List will go up in the morning.
Id asked to defer or rescind my notice but that got rejected. Ah well.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Sorry the work thing didn't work out for you Valli. I'm rooting for you. (((Hugs)))Mega-congratulations on all the steps, fundraising and weightloss Kaz.Sorry I've been awol. I'm trying to keep the house, communal garden, sundeck and yard under control despite the lack of rain and so far it's not too grim. I may have too many tomato plants.Today's plan - take Layla to a new woods after digging around in the freezer for something easy to cook tonight. She's been accompanying me on walking to new places over the past couple of weeks and seems to be thriving on it.Better is good enough.7

Darn it, it’s afternoon again, and I’ve just made it here.
Round, that list is a work of glory - a veritable Toots list, if I’m not mistaken. Atta girl, it’s a Thing now.
I’ve done my usual of overthinking something, only to find that it turned out ok after all.I had planned a trip to small town as I needed a birthday present for friend, and she has been subjected to way too many hm gifts lately. I took DD’s car to give it a run, stewed myself over possible roadworks, traffic, bad drivers, parking - you get the picture. Straightforward drive in, hardly anybody in the car park due to the drizzle first thing. Bought myself 2 hours parking and went to 4 of the independents to get said present (bookshop), cleaning products (refill shop) wool ( er, yes, it jumped into my bag in the wool shop along with a pattern) and the record shop, plus a charity shop (nothing bought, but I regret leaving the gorgeous rust coloured wool behind that they had in there). Everyone was so chatty and friendly, it was lovely. I left just as the day trippers were coming out, along with the sun.
Back home, as Mr M due to deliver 1-2pm, and he has just been, asking if it was ok to deliver early as I was his last one in this area. Oh yes, please and thank you!
This afternoon I need to put the shopping away, maybe hang the washing outside to dry, wave the duster at the bedroom, before a friend calls round for a cuppa later. Must also read the list to try to stick to the level one plan aspiration.8 -
browned the roof and underside of the floor for summerhouse.. dangled some washing sorted Twinkles drawers and found a few bits to sell.. put away the folded washing.
