Feeling a bit brighter following Covid and a ridiculously draining trip to a gig.I'll try to fly this week, but suspect it may be flutter, flutter, THUNK. S&S +1 in bathroom/kitchen and 15 minutes declutter as a minimum. My incentive will be DD coming up for our annual Eurovision Party.Big pre-Covid jobs which I aim to complete are:
- Finish pigeon-proofing the verandah (I acquired chicken wire etc the day I tested positive)
- Finish reorganising kitchen
- Ironing the stack of clean washing I managed between coughs!
- Rearranging the living room so DD can sleep in it
Doesn't sound much, really, does it? But one thing I like about this thread is that Flyers understand why it is...A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
2025 Declutter:
1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
1 FROG (minimum) per week; 6/52
WEIGHT I'll start with 25 lbs (though I need to lose more!) and see how it goes...🤔 0/25
2025 NSDs: 15 per MONTH - FEB 4/15; JAN 21/15
2025 Fashion on the Ration: (carried over from 2024) 10+66 = 76
2025 Make Do, Mend & Minimise No target, just remember to report!

Hi can I join in? I've got covid and not feeling 100% so will be some gentle fluttering today.
I've put the washing out and put another load on this morning. I'm going to go and see what I can get achieved in half an hour10 -
In my half hour I
Cleaned sink and drainerOpened windows
Lit candlesWashed upCleaned surfaces and appliancesEmptied bin and cleaned itCleared table and put clean tablecloth on
Now going to sit with a cuppa before I do anymore10 -

I have walked the dogs, changed bedding, am mid way through numerous wash loads, and I've finally cut the grass back and front.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Welcome Vicklg.
Kazwookie well done on weight loss. Just remembered that I'd planned to grit teeth and stand on scales first thing....forgot!
Just jumped on here to check list, as I vowed to do level 1 every day. Needless to say I've already deviated.
- went for a run
- cleaned shower cubicle while I was in there (not actually a bright idea, all that steam and shower spray wafting in my face!
- one load washing done and hung out.
- sent off Zoom details for Thursday's online assessment.
- continued another report. 2 to do, both part done.
- have kept up the 'every room I go into will have some item put away in its proper place' plan, so that's a good bit of clutter tidied.
- rashly put immersion heater on for potential kitchen flying. Washed up.
- emptied food waste/compost bin, now soaking to clean.
- planted out some bedding plants.
Mr N has gone to gym, taking with him stuff to drop at CS, then he's checking when garage can put a new tyre on my car and wash car (1 wash a month is in service plan!! Probably all it will get).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

Welcome Vicki.. Take it easy if you're unwell.. nothing healing about running yourself ragged!
Kaz.. well done!
I have potted 25 baby spider plants and repotted the big mamma plant.. she was VERY pot bound.. she now has lots of growing room and I chopped off all the dead leaves so she had a trim too.. all fed and watered and hopefully I can find somewhere to ut them all that the darn cats wont eat them!
OH emptied cat trays.. and power washed them.. I refilled them and Noz ate the litter..
(serious case of deja vu going on here.. so weird! )WM x4 washed2 loads hung out.
2 more lots to hang out
Kitchen floor where the cat tray lives scrubbed.. and the tiles alongside..
I'm going for a cuppa and then will have to trek to school.. maybe change my jumper first I am all muddy/dusty/smelly.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Pigpen is not the cats I have to worry about eating things, it is the deer, it is like / was an al la carte restaurant for them, hopefully my new expensive fence will keep them out, unless they nip round the road way in!!Budget for April checked against spends, woops................May must try harder...............According to the NHS BMI web site, I still have 9lbs to go, it has been telling me this for the last 3 weeks or so, yet I have lost at least 5lbs during this time, so something somewhere is wrong. OH reckons he can now get his arms round me
and I am craving ice cream this afternoon..................none in the house, but a walk to local supermarket could be on, but I could get it home before it melted.

Welcome to the madhouse vicklg x
Horrible day at work, just everything seems so damned difficult at the moment. I have a big audit on 17th June and am fretting about it already. I mean, whats the worst that can happen? I could have made a mistake or missed something, which wont be nice but they are hardly likely to give me the sack after 9 years!
Cycled in which was nice even if it was a bit blowy coming home. Trying to stretch the quarter of a tank of diesel that I have in the car.
DW emptied, kitchen swished and swiped, bed made, pasta bake put in the oven. That's about it for me so far, I have a Teams meeting at 6pm so will eat some pasta then get that out of the way.10
