  • No plan as such from me this week, I'm in the "red warning" area of Storm Babet. Supermarkets haven't had deliveries for two days due to road closures/flooding on main arterial routes. My local SM has no milk, bread, F&V, chilled and frozen almost gone.

So for me its some wonderful creations from the freezer/cupboard stocks but I'll get back on track next week.

Thanks JKS, we're not as badly hit as other areas have been, but tonight is looking a bit worrying - its rained all day rivers are full to the brim and another hour to go until high tide  :o

As usual, expecting to be out with friends at least one day so planning 6 main meals.

salmon, roast veg, baked potato x2
beef burger, caramelised onions, mushrooms, baked potato
    Chilli con carne, vegetable rice
chicken liver and bacon pasta x2
  • I’m away at the end of next week so just 5 days to worry about. Smallish shopping list but will go to the farm shop and stock up on decent chicken.

Sat - tapas with freshly baked baguette
Sun - creamy chicken thigh, cannellini bean and leek traybake, broccoli
Mon - chicken and chorizo jambalaya
    Tues - beans on toast
Wed - bacon and broccoli pasta
  • Been a bit terrible at sticking to the plan, also because I tried to update on my app and it's been having problems. So it duplicated everything, and then I proceeded to delete the duplicates, losing everything I had planned. I do have it wrote down manually, but only a weeks worth. So, I'm having to try and remember what I had laid out for the month.

We didnt have the lemon Courgette pasta last week or pot pie, so we are having the latter tonight with parsnip chips.

So, meal plan Wednesday to Tuesday so far

W: Veg, sweet potato and orzo salad ( this is like an autumnal salad that can be eaten hot or cold)
    T: Pizza
    F:Tofu satay
S: Roasted veg, pasta and pesto
S: 'Chicken' pot pie and parsnip chips
    M: Lemon and Courgette pasta
T: see Wednesday but with squash instead of sweet potato

    Wednesday was Spaghetti Bolognese.
Thursday was Burrito, salad and chips
Friday one pot Lemon and Courgette pasta
Tonight creamy Courgette curry and rice.

Im currently trying to compile a few days meals for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. I think it's looking something like

Tomato and ginger soup with cheese toastie
Jackfruit Campire stew w. mash potato
Meera Sodha squash, red onion and quinoa salad (I will sub quinoa for another grain as I don't like it)
This is like an autumn salad, not like a summer salad.

I'll come back on Wednesday with next week's meal plan.
