Tuesday's CB hash didn't happen - tin of CB saved. Instead the last bit of minced beef morphed into cottage pie - one for that night and one for the freezer. Tonight's chicken curry has been cancelled in favour of a chicken, bacon & mushroom pasta bake. I'm on a mission to use up all the odds and ends from the freezer and now have some wriggle room.Be kind to others and to yourself too.5

This week's plan isn't quite finished yet as some of it will be dependent on what I do or don't get in my delivery on Tuesday. So far:
Sat (yesterday) - Soup, sandwich, chocolate biscuit
Sun - Roast beef slices in gravy (from freezer), mash, butter beans
Mon - Savoury mince (from freezer), jacket potatoes, more butter beans
Tue - Sausage, egg & chips
Wed - TBC
Thu - TBC
Fri - Cod fillets
I need to make more soup as there's none left in the freezer but I have some freezer bits that I can use - sliced leeks (leek & potato) and all kinds of veg odds and ends (minestrone). I didn't think we'd still be having soup in summer but the weather has been so awful that's what we're having at lunchtimes.Be kind to others and to yourself too.5 -
Delivery arrived yesterday, all P&C, so meal plan finalised.
Today (Wed) - salad (we've not had any this month due to awful weather but now I'm craving one!)
Thu - Chicken curry, jacket potato
Yesterday I swapped the egg out for baked beans since we'd had a scotch egg at lunchtime, didn't want two eggs in one day!Be kind to others and to yourself too.4 -
All to plan but for various reasons I think next week might be aspirational rather what actually is made!
The main elements are mainly from the freezer/cupboard so can easily be rolled over.

Hey folks. It's been a while since I've been on this thread but my brain hasn't really been able to *plan* due to being sick and flying by the seat of our pants. I'm trying to get back on wagon now as our fridge and freezer are full and we're trying to eat down our stocks. Here's what a rough cooking plan for the next few days, in vague order.
French lentil soup (w/bacon added) - https://www.daringgourmet.com/french-lentil-soup/. Kiwi, strawberries or yoghurt/kefir for dessert
Salad with roasted vegetables and tempura chicken breasts
Pork and sugar snap peas stir fry
Roasted tomato & zucchini tart and orange almond cardamom loaf cake for a brunch potluck
Spring greens & ham quesadillas
Sunday tomato sauce; half to put in the freezer and other half into a pasta bake
