joedenise said:@K9sandFelines I don't think it's really necessary to specify what days each meal will be eaten on! There is no reason why your meal plan can't just be a list of the meals you intend to cook/get out from freezer/eat for the week. I know this is how some people meal plan which can be useful for when other plans change.
Although I write my meal plan as a daily plan it isn't written in stone and often gets moved around but we do tend to eat the meals planned for that week although occasionally plans change completely so we end up with having a meal out or at friends.
I'm more interested in what everyone has planned, rather than when they are eating it. I can't speak for everyone, but that was the main gist of the thread. I'm sorry if it's gone array a bit 🙃GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. This my plan for the week. Thanks to @Greying_Pilgrim for the Turlu reminder 😘
*Edited to say mine has changed, so I've popped a different pic in. So I can make use of fresh produce before it turns.

I know we have already eaten two meals from this plan but here goes.
Saturday: kebab chicken or hallomi with greek salad.
Sunday, salmon for me, roast chicken and stuffing, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, root mash, roasted potatoes.
Monday: jacket potatoes, left over chicken, mushroom quiche and salad.
Tues : vege cottage pie, already prepared, with lentils and quorn mince, mashed potatoes and cheese topping, with savoy cabbage.
Wednesday: tuna nicoise, with jersey royal potatoes.
Thursday: out for dinner to a Turkish restaurant, I already know it will be bulgur wheat salad with hallim cheese and falafel.
Friday: probably scampi, peas and a few actifry chips.

Have had to change the plan again! Was supposed to be chicken biryani tonight but didn't get the chicken out early enough to marinade it last night so that will now be tomorrow night's dinner.
So tomorrow's short beef rib stew will become tonight's dinner instead.

@K9sandFelines and @joedenise exactly hear hear. This is why I posted what I call a cooking plan earlier. I found a few years that assigning meals to specific days was a bit too confusing/overwhelming for me since I can be a rigid at times regarding change. So now I just list out some recipes, meals or components/sides I’d like to make during the week and move them around as I see fit especially depending on my schedule day to day. It’s much less stress for me.8

Busy yesterday with family so posting today ,although I did the menu's yesterday morning as usual.
Monday : Veggie curry, (batch cooked five portions but left one out for tonight ) large orange for pudding
Tueday : Last slice of pork stuffing coated fillet from freezer, with mash and steamed cabbage. Banana and custard
Wednesday : Sweet potato mash, with three of the Y/S chipolata sausages and baked beans. Stewed apples and custarrd
Thursday : Cottage pie from freezer with some brussel sprouts also from freezer. Rice pudding
Friday: Steamed salmon fillet and asparagus from freezer with salad. Greek plain yogurt with a drizzle of honey
Saturday : Chilli from freezer with steamed rice. Apple pasty with cream
I don't eat breakfast often, just a cuppa and a couple of ginger nuts, but usually have a mid-day lunch about 12.15. Soup this week is leek and potato on Monday and Wednesday and spicy carrot on Tuesday and Thursday, with crackers and pate, or grated cheese and Saaturday I'll probably have a salad with odds and ends from the fridge
mid-morning cuppa or twoand mid afternoon a nice pot of coffee and a slice of cake possibly if I have some in my cake boxes.
No shopping to buy at all this week, so my purse is firmly shut
