If he IS moving then maybe it was some sort of attempt to get money out of people before he left. Maybe he figured he could get the money, leave and there not be any comeback if he is not living in the UK and get away scott free. Paypal will leave accounts in a negative balance and usually send the debt collectors in. how could they chase him if he was not living here in the UK? Makes you wonder.

Yeh, I give up. Just got the following message from the person who sent the cheque:

"Hi I sent the cheque to

j warmsley

I have not had any reply but have reported this guy to the Police in Boston, Lincolnshire. I plan to put in a small claim myself but do not expect any joy as I suspect that he has left the country. "

I don't understand why paypal can't refund me the remaining balance when they've made more than that on fees on payments to my account but there you go...

I think i have been scammed by someone selling kids clothes before xmas,they havent arrived and no replies to emails,also their feedback has suddenly gone private and negs are appearing and i have contacted a couple of people who have had the same probs,i have made a claim through paypal if its decide in my favour how do they get the money out of them if they have cleared their account.

If you start a new thread you are far more likely to get advice, as opposed to not getting any at all so far.
