Yeh, I've seen people with lower percentages but most of them get banned very quickly. I've never seen that many negs in a row though
  • I guess his photo was taken from a happier time in his life.
I have a feeling this will turn out ok for those that are involved.
    Good Luck.....

If you look at the most recent neg to do with the Clio car there is a mobile number on the listing which should relate to this seller, might be worth giving John a call.

:rotfl:Can't believe he left his photo up, if that's even him. I'll wait for the paypal dispute and see what happens as it says it's going to be decided in my favour because he hasn't replied! Just wondering when it will be decided  If I don't get all the money back, I'll give him a call and might see what legal action is possible.

Hi Scorpian king. I started buying on ebay several years ago. Just after the PS2 came out. My kids desperately wanted one. So I looked at the site and saw someone selling them. He had 100% feedback. It said to allow a reasonable delivery time. I was very naieve and fully expected to receive my order. I did not receive it. So I e.mailed the guy and heard nothing. There was a telephone number so I phoned it and still heard nothing-it went onto answerphone. I was a single parent at the time doing my best for my kids. To cut a long story short I lost my money and the kids got no PS2 for christmas. To add insult to injury, I received an e.mail just before the christmas and it was 'apparently from the seller's wife, it said something on the lines of-'my husband has been attacked by men in a white van for no reason, He was severely beaten, threatened and is broken. Your kids may not have a PS2 for christmas but my kids now do not have a father as he has hung himself in our garage a few days ago. Now, I have to tell you that was an absolutely awful e.mail to receive, however, I did not respond to it, it just didn't fit right somehow. Several months later I received a letter from a solicitor saying that the guy in question had just gone bankrupt (yeah, I know, dead men don't go bankrupt). So I phoned the solicitor and told him everything I have just told you. I might as well have talked to a brick wall and I still didn't get my money back!! lesson learned. My kids wanted a wii this year, instead of busting a gut and getting ripped off again, I have told them they will have to wait until they are more widely available and affordable-better to let them down short term than to be duped and ripped off again. Being ripped off has made me quite a cynic-sorry to all you decent traders out there. I know that there are some.
    Sorry rant over. Thanks

  • Thanks for that. Very sad story :(

On a slightly more positive note. Got £500 back from paypal but it looks like that's all I'm getting:

"We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover £500.00 GBP. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time."
