Evening Turtles. Good luck for tomorrow @greent. Today I helped DD declutter her bedroom as it is national clean your room day as mothernerd kindly pointed out. 3 bin bags full of utter carp and a couple of shopping bagfuls for the c shop. Loads of OU books not worth passing on as they are sent out as part of the course fee any way, so off to recycling. Had to spend today as DS2 can only wear shirts or polo shirts to new job and what self respecting 19 yo owns either? So bought him 3 to keep him going until he gets paid mid June. No trainers either so he had to go in OH ‘s boots!
Today I am grateful for having enough room in the wheelie bin for DD’s carp, laughing at naughty kittten trying to reach next doors enormous dog under the fence (it didn’t mind) and my tomato plants escaping serious damage when the garden umbrella got blown over right on top of them!

It's about 4' long, one end is bent at 90 degrees and the other at 45 degrees. I often use it to pull the window closed when I've had it wide openThis made me laugh, I use the potato masher to close the kitchen window all the time, it is the perfect size and shape to hook the stupid handle and strong enough to yank it closed without pinging off. Probably gets used to close the window more than mashing potatoes...... should I rename it? Also reminded me of one of the kids describing the potato peeler as the carrot sharpener.Happy Tuesday everyturtle!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8

Slow day but read through some of my old CBT paperwork, in preparation for tomorrow's session. Paper bag and rubbish bag are growing nicely and have been eating oddments from the fridge, including a large bowl full of salad. I have identified more things that can go but not removed them yet as I don't need more things in bags hanging around. Will plod on.
Grateful for delicious salads and other tasty leftovers, taking things slowly, no one phoning or meithering. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Wishing you well for tomorrow @greent, & hugs to you @mothernerd sounds like you need a rest day. Thank you @ditty1234, I'll send you a message ☺️
Had a much better day today, starting with exercising before breakfast. Pupil better behaved today & not trying to hurt me. Another pupil (6 year old daughter of a friend) told me she felt sad today as her granny had died (2 weeks ago), so I asked if she'd like a hug & if she felt sad another time, to tell her teacher & she'll come to get me.
Did the ironing when I got home, a friend came to collect the blanket with a name on it, she loved it! Received a phonecall from another new customer. Sewed a zip in a coat, then had a soak in the bath with my book.
Grateful for DS2 going to college today & having fun with his friend, giving a hug to a pupil, having a better day at workUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hi guys
Today was a NSD making the total 5 so far.
I managed to avoid the shops today, whereas before I would use a packet cheese sauce made one from scratch as I had all the stuff in. Also I walked into work so got some exercise too.I packed away my winter stuff and got loads of summer stuff out ( some doesn’t fit which gives me an incentive to stick to the diet) yesterday with some going in the bin and some ready to go the CS. I’ve only got a few bits so might leave it a bit longer to avoid the temptation to buy anything.
It was a weird day at work. We only got a partial delivery. No cake or salad stuff, which meant we had to make do with the stuff we could bake ourselves. People are more understanding though ( well apart from one lady that was most disgruntled that we couldn’t make her a salad) and realise that it’s not our fault. I’ve got a feeling this is going to be an ongoing thing.Anyway today I’m grateful for happy DH and DS2 because their football team won, for cuddles with granddog while they watched and not being as creaky as I was, my feet and ankles aren’t any where near as uncomfortable.
Anyway time for bed
Night night Turtles
