They have horizontal ones as well as vertical ones, ones you press a button and it comes down/up, and ones that are a desk. Just a thought ....

Today my whole world has shrunk to this one room (+ getting to the bathroom) and can't reach parts of this. mentally and physically exhausted, frustrated because none of my bedroom layouts worked (need more space, if I can't buy next door or find somewhere else for either me or them, I need a proper extension with a bedroom and bathroom - less space for growing but maybe vertical gardening/ solar panels/ roof garden). Hopeless, helpless (it will get better).
So will be doing what I can from here - I can see lots to do. Will be scribbling down how this feels and all it's components (for my PIP form). First task is to move pillows from the left side of my bed to behind me or where they help support me in an upright position. then rest until I can manage something else.
Another clutter fairy maintenance task - 5 minutes to pack away the project you're working on. I'm sure lots of us can relate to this. We get involved with what we're doing and forget to leave time for clearing up or leave it out thinking we'll get right back to it and the RL happens and we have to do x,y or z, need to respond to a family emergency, things get moved and the next time you get the umphh to put another line in the sampler you need to find the pattern, the fabric and the exact shade of purple you were using (couldn't find needles - not buying as I knew there were lots somewhere).
Grateful for sticks. I have one that is actually the handle for a loft ladder that never got constructed and then the ladder part got stolen. It's about 4' long, one end is bent at 90 degrees and the other at 45 degrees. I often use it to pull the window closed when I've had it wide open. Last night I used it to hook the extension bar over to the bed so I could plug my CPAP machine in (unplugged when moving the bed as it would have got in a tangle with the floor lamp and couldn't cope with the CPAP machine being dragged onto the floor) and charge the laptop. Will charge the phone when I find the charger.
Grateful for making enough space on the bed for me to sleep comfortably. Grateful for Beloved bringing me a cup of water from the bathroom and DS3 bringing up a caffeine free drinks. He says he can't do anything else for me - that's my one thing a day. Think I will list all the things I did for him yesterday and message him.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

Probably gets used to close the window more than mashing potatoes...... should I rename it? Also reminded me of one of the kids describing the potato peeler as the carrot sharpener.Happy Tuesday everyturtle!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

If we open our kitchen window more than a crack, it swings all the way open (hinge at the top) and you have to go outside to push it in! Also, it has become temperamental and curmudgeonly (gotta love that word
) and won't always open anyway!

Today I am thankful for the sunshine, for my back being somewhat better than it was (endd up with a prescription at the weekend for some fairly hefty drugs), for getting the all-clear for cycle #2 of chemo tomorrow (the call came in quite late late so I was concerned that either my Bloods hadn't been sent off in time or the result was duff), for getting some shopping done for birthdays later this month.
Decluttering - some broken things (truly broken) have gone for recycling/ bin. I have been working in DS1's room whilst he is away and discovered that every pen in the pen pot on his desk was useless - so they've all gone bar the novelty one which I guess he might want to keep..? 🤷🏻♀️ And quite a lot of cardboard packaging has been recycled, rather than being hung on to.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208
