@Toni'sfriend What a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Yesterday was NSD4. Today will be a spend day as need to get some groceries.
Not much happened yesterday so will just do what I'm grateful for.
My new work laptop arrived, It's really fast and so much easier to work on.
For my feet and legs already feeling softer and more hydrated. Hadn't realised how dry they had become so might need to moisturise these areas twice a day for a while.

Voting day, local elections. It's only a small thing, but important. Sorry if all your available options are poor ones, but please do it anyway. It's okay if you don't have local elections today.

Challenge BUDGETS
50/30/20 budget
50% Needs - Housing, Food, Utilities, Health Care, insurance
20% Savings - Emergency, Savings, Investments
30% Wants - Personal Care, Entertainment, Hobbies, Subscriptions
It might be worth checking what percentage of your income is taken up by Needs - useful indicator of how the cost of living crisis is affecting you.
You are not lazy. Stress, anxiety, overwhelm and depression cause fatigue. You are coping as well as you can.
Small shaky steps still count.

Couldn't agree more. PLEASE go out and vote. We applied for postal votes a couple of years ago because we were going to be on holiday on election day. I would recommend it to anyone who has difficulty in getting to their polling station because of distance or lack of time.
Money - NSD No 4. Didn't think I'd have this many so far. Counted the mysterious tub of pennies. £15 and some.
Home - The bathroom is now sparkling. Well, it's clean and tidy, anyway. I'm getting into a bit of a routine now and I can definitely see a difference by just doing things as I go along. Got a few bits planned for today and possibly a little bit of decluttering of Himself's jar cupboard if I can get away with it. Powering my way through the freezers and store cupboards. Made a casserole with mince yesterday and there's enough for today as well if I add a few sausages to it. Not strictly the best thing for the diet but I'm planning lots of salad, etc when everything is under control. We are trying to get the tenancy of the house which is my name transferred to both our names. Himself has lived with me for about 20 years but I didn't know we should have told the council when he moved in. It just kind of happened gradually. A very helpful lady from the council phoned me yesterday and explained everything to me. She said not to worry nobody ever tells them when partners move in or children move out. Once I've completed a form she's sending to me she'll update the records but it will then be 12 months before we can transfer the tenancy.
Me - The Boy had promised to take me to the cinema last night but he's had a bit of a domestic crisis. Had to get his kitchen rewired and his flat is in turmoil. I offered to help but we can't really do anything until the joiner does his bit and, of course, he can't get hold of the joiner. He's a bit stressed. He's not very good at dealing with things like this and he doesn't like promising to do something and then not doing it. I've told him it's not the end of the world we can go another time but he's feeling a bit down.
Finished the book I was reading. Must go look for another. There is no shortage in this house,
So, must get on. Have a good day. It's nearly the weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -

Good morning guys
I got my first NSD yesterday, today I’ve got SW and I can’t remember whether I’ll need to pay or whether it’s the last week of my 6 week block. I really really don’t want to go as we’ve fell off the wagon good style, but I know I must and staying to class helps.
I had a few minutes before work so popped into a CS yesterday, there were some lovely things, but I really don’t need anything. I just need to lose a few pounds and I’ll have a whole new wardrobe. It rained so I gave in and caught the tram yesterday, wet clothes and baking pies is not a happy feeling 😦. OH can run me and collect me today so that saves money.
In theory we should have more staff next week so less hours for me. The money is helpful, but my health is also important.
An old fashioned GP told me years ago to listen to your body. If you need a nap have a nap, eat well and be kind to yourself. It got me through the menopause fairly unscathed. I think I was lucky though, not everyone I know got away with a fuzzy brain and hot flushes.
Anyway today I’m thankful for a nice day, it’s a bit hazy but warming up. For not being at work until 12 so I’m having a tiny lie in and for living in a country where although we have challenges we’re not in danger. We’re lucky in so many ways.
Have a lovely day Turtles
