afternoon turtles
We've been away to DD2's in person graduation ceremonyIt was lovely. We stayed over Monday night and drove home yesterday afternoon. DD2 had been ambivalent about going as we did our own thing last summer when uni organised an online graduation & she is up against deadlines for her Masters plus working PT but she was really glad she went.
I'm wfh today and seem to have loads to catch up on after just one day off!
Haven't achieved any NSDs this month, have had lots of fresh air and achieved lots of steps.
Gratitudes - DD2 enjoying her graduation; getting on well with DDs' dad even though we separated over 10 years ago; photos and happy memories

I have worked the 'family photography' bit of 2 graduations now, so 90 hours worth - you would not believe how many bust ups are had in the queue over who is in the photo, or who is NOT to be in the photo. Honestly, it is a peek into other people's lives, and enough to give you nightmares. So I am really glad you were all nice and grown up about it. You can both go and sit on the naughty step apple and f0xh0les.
Low mood this morning, had to sit and look at photos of baby animals for a while - very therapeutic. Put 2 extra bins out with some leaves and cuttings in. Took 2 bags of recycling downstairs and out to the bins, Collected 2 more bags from downstairs. 2 garden items (one a full bin bag) taken out of the front room. Two bags of rubbish and a pile of pizza boxes collected and taken out to the bins.
Mum's lodger texted to say he would be round with this month's rent. Discussed various house/ safety matters, then he went off to grandbaby minding. Renewed my library books. Messaged DS2 about the games he lent us - they can go. A pair of trainers in the bag belong to DS3 but he agreed they can go to the clothing bank. Phoned to make a diabetic podiatry appointment and they had a cancellation this afternoon so agreed to take it. Ate lunch.
DS3 and Beloved wanted to eat so I was banished to my room. Had my CBT appointment, made a treatment plan. She's also going to make a social services assessment referral and a link community worker appointment - link worker can help with an application for a bus pass etc. Will email details of the healthy routes scheme. CBT to be based on clearing the mental clutter, food (not feeling like cooking, not planning ahead, only realising I need to eat when I'm ravenous) and socialising/ coping with social anxiety.
Delivery was due so I got my stuff together and sat outside. Told DS3 he could go back to bed as soon as he took the package inside. Dropped off 4 books at the library and then went to sit at the bus stop (had a book to read). Bus to infirmary, went to podiatry, the bit I was bothered about last week was a corn (had to ask Beloved to look as I couldn't get the bottom of my foot near enough to see). All checks good, podiatrist asked one of the nurses to deal with the corn. Did foot and ankle exercises whilst podiatrist was doing form filling.
More reading whilst waiting for the bus. Rode as far as mum's to bring the bins back in. Getting very hungry and a bit faint so went for another chicken piri piri on oatmeal bread. Ate whilst waiting for the bus. Ready for bed by 5pm. Ate one of the ready meals. A bit of reading, a bit of my latest series and it'll be time to settle down to sleep - cleaned my mask and hose this morning.
Grateful for a productive day despite it being a bit hectic, good food from various sources (10p kefir yoghurt and a bowl of assorted salads), photos of baby animals, a good therapy session, my bed and eyedrops.
ps brought bins back to our end of the backs. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

Work was a bit up & down, could've done without being hit by a flying chair, but I wasn't the only one! DH stayed in town after his dialysis today, so I was on tea cooking duty. DS3 not home still when I was serving up, so I put his in a tub to reheat on his return. I'd made macaroni cheese, made enough to last me tomorrow & possibly Friday for dinner too. Replaced a zip in a coat, then repaired another that was dropped off this evening.
Grateful for my friend/colleague staying with me during the tricky period, recent new customers tagging me in FB posts by people looking for a seamstress, DS2 having another good dayUse it up, wear it out

Today I am thankful that the rain went away and my washing all dried on the line, for seeing 4 newly hatched cygnets on a walk this evening 😍, and for the loaf of bread I made turning out lovely (the one on Sunday was heavy and awful - I think the yeast was duff)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206
