Voting day, local elections. It's only a small thing, but important. Sorry if all your available options are poor ones, but please do it anyway. It's okay if you don't have local elections today.
And this is especially to all female turtles but is an important message for all anyway : we should never forget what women went through in order that we can have our sat today. To not use your vote is a waste of their efforts, sacrifices and achievements. Use your vote in whichever way you please - but please use it.
Enough politics from me!
Today I am thankful that I feel totally fine, that the NHS is amazing (it truly is - just think what it would be like if we lived elsewhere and had to pay...), for great fr-olleagues (colleagues who are friends), for sunshine and blue skies.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
Evening Turtles. No NSD today, went to Mr T to use a £5 voucher my sister gave me, so obviously I forgot to use it! Never mind, I lost the will to live after 10 minutes so will have to go back tomorrow and try to remember to use it then.
Today I am grateful for one of my customers giving me £10 as he ‘forgot to buy me an Easter egg’! DS2 passing his ID checks for his new job so he can enter the world of work and pay me rent and naughty kitten coming in with a ladybird stuck in his tail (better than the worm from last week)5 -
Today I am grateful for my personal organisation meaning my day went quite smoothly, for a swift journey home, for dc cracking on with hwk, for dh going out so dc and I have the place to ourselves, for my experiment with moving desks around working well with the class that uses every single one of them.I have voted 😎. Now to stretch out on the chaise longue, or at least put some cushions on the STEP I've been relegated to...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Very tired today - a couple of naps. Books arrived. Collected more rubbish and recycling. Went to vote. Took DS3's trainers to put in the clothing bank. Listened to music. Finished a book.

Spent £10 today, I contributed to a fr-olleague's present as her dad passed away.
A good day at work. Dropped sewing off on my way home, unpicked a coat zip, then started to learn Tunisian crochet from a yootoob video, using wool I was given a couple of years ago & my late MIL's hooks. Going well so far, going to make a blanket or two.
Had a lovely surprise, a well known local seamstress phoned me just before 10pm. She alters wedding dresses & doesn't have time for 'smaller' jobs, so wondered if she could send folk my way to avoid disappointing them. Said she'd spoken to someone who was happy with my work & whilst she was collecting my business card from my drop off point in town, a customer was dropping sewing off for me to do. Feel quite excited & complimented that she asked me!
Grateful for a good day at work, learning new crafts, upcoming business opportunitiesUse it up, wear it out
