Still worth taking the cheapest tariff do you think?
Appreciate your assistanceI've answered enough of these questions that I've got a spreadsheet to do the maths for meYes, if you would prefer the certainty of a fix for however-many-months rather than braving the vagaries of a variable tariff, the cheaper two of those fixes (the left-hand ones) both look promising. I don't know exactly how they differ - is one fixed for longer than the other, for example? - but you can compare features and choose the one you prefer.0 -

HELP I'm finding it impossible to work out the percentage increase on an Eon fixed two year deal. Electricity is 36.5 unit (daily charge 48.15) and Gas 9.44 (27.22) I forgot to ask the version or exit fee. The offer online v14 I know from the website is 30%.
My current rates are Electricity 28.29 (48.15) Gas 7.44 (27.22)0 -
Just got an email from current supplier British Gas as current tariff is ending. Can stay variable at price cap levels or go fixed.
Current tariff is People's Tariff. 54.096p per day standing charge and 29.35p per kWh. Offering is Loyalty Jun 23v2 fixed tariff. 59.576 per day standing charge and 35.833p per kWh fixed. I reckon that is a 22% increase. £75 exit fees.

Is it worth switching from standard variable tariff to this fixed rate offer from British Gas? The offer is:
Exclusive May 23v1 (fixed until 31/523):
Gas:
Standing charge:
34.069p per day
Unit rate:
10.184p per kWh
Electricity:
Standing charge:
38.990p per day
Unit rate:
34.460p per kWh
Standard variable tariff is:
Gas:
Standing charge:
27.220p per day
Unit rate:
7.517p per kWh
Electricity:
Standing charge:
32.141p per day
Unit rate:
29.633p per kW
It looks a close call to me. Any thoughts folks?
