Complete newbie to this. Just checked my BG app and have been offered these 0 -
Good morning,
I have just signed up to a 1 year fixed with OVO,
£229.59 D/D
Elec 32.07 p/kwh + S/C 46.44 p/day
Gas 9.35 p/kwh + S/C 26.21 p/day
Ovo said the prices are changing every 7 days so from my 1/5 offer it had increased twice to today price, they were very good saying if it lowers in the next 14 days I can ring and ask for that price.
I feel this fixed price will be better than the SV that they offered at £188 DD for Elec 28.01 SC 42.24 and Gas 7.34 SC 27.22 as these will increase in Oct.
Thank you too all that advised and helped xx

Has anyone seen any different options from EDF yet? I signed up yesterday to the Mayer offer but curious to see if it's been replaced yet.0

Octopus Energy are offering existing customers a 12 month fixed, but the unit rates aren’t great.Electricity +42%
April 21 Cap 27.09p/kWh
12m fixed 38.62p/kwhStanding Charge 0%April 21 48.65p
12m fixed 48.65p
Gas +54%
April 21 7.22p/kWh
12m fixed 11.15p/kWhStanding Charge 0%
April 21 27.22p
12m fixed 27.22pSo does fit with the concept of fixing no higher than 25-30% of the April 2021 cap rate. 🙄0 -

Is this the 'Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed April 2022 v1' tariff?

My cheap fix is coming to an end this month, yesterday I accepted this and now have 14 days cooling off period,
EDF Fix Total Service May24v4
35.35p kWh
41.66p Standing Charge
any thoughts on whether this was a wise move appreciated

I'm in the same boat, but unable to see if the product has changed assuming that May offer isn't available anymore. Although if I go into my account, it won't let me view any other products yet.OffKeyTip said:My cheap fix is coming to an end this month, yesterday I accepted this and now have 14 days cooling off period,

I did tweet you the other day because you quote EDF as being 24% more on the May24v3 deal and your should I fix info says may be good idea if offer is not more than 30%. I fixed thinking EDF was 24% but in fact now I've gone through it all again (maths isn't my strong point) I've realised that while the electric is 24% the gas is 32% higher, since gas is our main fuel I think fixing may have been a mistake, I was hoping you'd update your info so it didn't still say EDF is 24% higher because it's misleading. I'm still in the cooling off period so wonder if anyone has advice on whether that's still a good deal. I'm thinking I'll be paying considerably more now in the months to October that may offset some of the increase on the standard rate after October so may be best to cancel the fixMSE_JC said:With wholesale gas prices at their lowest level since November 2021, we want to know what fixed energy deals you're being offered by your current provider.
There are very few fixed deals available to new customers on the market, and those that are tend to be pricey. Yet sometimes we do hear of short-lived 'existing customer only' deals from certain firms that can be competitive. These deals aren't available on comparison sites, making them hard to keep track of.
Is there a good one out there that fellow MoneySavers might be missing out on?
Let us know the name of the tariff and the name of the supplier.

this happens to me also, the lass on the phone said the June fix offers where looking higher. Do you know what the single rate electricity prices are on standard variable with EDF?stuarta99 said:

Can't remember other than the fix was around £32 more than the SVR. I worked out April was the break even point between fix/SVR assuming 42% in Oct and no change in Jan and April by which point we are already almost 12 months in.OffKeyTip said:

I have seen a post today that SSE have put their gas up 42% so not sure if that will have an impact on SVR's for everyone else.0
