Currently with EDF and they do offer a good 2 year fix deal for existing customers with is %24 above price cap. Best at the moment on the market, but I am not comfortable with the £300 exit fee.
Will the current situation last for another two years? How know !!!

This is where the kind of person you are comes in

    1) likes to fix to know your two year spending
    2) likes a gamble

The exit fees make it harder to chose option 1 for many especially low energy users.

If you believe the predictions £2800 Oct 2% rise Jan 2023 if the quarterly price cap adjustment does happen then a drop in Apr 2023

Usage was 180 gas units and 1705 electric ones.
Unwise to think in terms of 'units' for gas because the meter readings are volumes.  Think in kWh because that's how you are billed.
Your gas usage seems very low - was that annual usage?  If it's the volume figure it will correspond to about 5715kWh if it's an Imperial (ft3) meter or 2020kWh if it's metric (m3).  Both of those figures would be low for annual usage, the average is 12,000kWh.
I'd expect it to be low... Its a 1 bed flat and I am away quite a bit. Heating is electric too.

Past usage was 1963 kWh for gas and 2004 kWh for electric

With wholesale gas prices at their lowest level since November 2021, we want to know what fixed energy deals you're being offered by your current provider.

There are very few fixed deals available to new customers on the market, and those that are tend to be pricey. Yet sometimes we do hear of short-lived 'existing customer only' deals from certain firms that can be competitive. These deals aren't available on comparison sites, making them hard to keep track of.

Is there a good one out there that fellow MoneySavers might be missing out on?

Let us know the name of the tariff and the name of the supplier.
Hi, I was an SSE customer, have been changed to OVO when they merged or whatever.  My bills went up to £272 DD for both from £187 after the price cap rise in April.  Currently they are offering 2 year fixed at £317, is this a good deal?  Considering the difference between is only £45? Obviously its still a lot but if they are saying there's gonna be a massive increase in October it would make sense to fix right?

Just remember that you need to check the unit rates and your actual usage to work out how much you will actually pay - a direct debit figure is meaningless and will go up if you use more than the estimate.

We're currently on the SVT with BG, having moved from Ebico on a fixed tariff expiring 30 April 2022. We haven't signed up to an online a/c (wife wants to retain paper billing, which I believe is lost with an online a/c). As a  consequence we're not seeing any fixed rate deals and BG aren't notifying us by email either.

Could any BG customers please tell me if an online a/c will allow me to see the currently available fixed deals?

I'm aware that all BG tariffs can be found via the url below but it doesn't say which are currently available.

    www.britishgas.co.uk/GetAQuote/tariff-information

    Many thanks.

Just by having an online account you don't go automatically go onto paperless billing.

You have to actively opt into paperless billing. See below
