First time posting but I wondered if anyone else is having problems seeing their case on Barclays Track It? I am applying via a broker and did not receive a text or email with the track it details.

    Our timeline so far:

    - AIP - 7th September
    - Submitted application - 8th Sept
    - Barclays requested further info via broker - 12 Sept
    - Info sent to Barclays - 12 Sept

I submitted my application via broker on the 18th august. Track it updated for the first 24 hours but it has not had an update since.
I know our valuation was carried out last week and additional documents have been sent as requested in august but none of that is showing on track it!
it's a useless system Imo! I would call their mortgage advice line if you want an update x
  • Hello, I had my preliminary mortgage appointment with Barclays today and submitted the requested documentation this afternoon. However, my proper appointment (I guess this will be where we go through bank statements etc) is not until 5th October. I am concerned that interest rates will rise by then. Is it therefore worth considering/ applying for other options? Completely new to all this. Thank you.

Absolute rollercoaster of an experience with Barclays and my broker.

So after the mortgage offer was issued with the incorrect address today we have had a the correct document through. Only taken 14 days to get sorted out.

Hopefully that is the last of the problems

If you applied through a broker you may not be sent a text/email. The track it portal is a waste of time imo, it was never accurate when I was tracking my application. I applied through a broker but bank with Barclays so was able to get into track it using my online banking details.

My application through a broker took 3 weeks, my timeline is posted on page 12 of this thread.

Barclays have a 5 working day response time to every query/question you respond to.

Let your broker do their thing. Barclays are notoriously slow from what I've read. You should be fine. You've passed credit checks which is a good sign as they do hard search for the AIP.

Wowzers! Glad it got sorted. Did they give you a new expiry date for the offer?

It seems like you are right! I tried to ring Barclays a few times to see if they could fix it but they haven't been able to. Currently I'm just relying on my broker's portal.

Barclays seem to be extremely slow with giving updates or coming back but it's most likely a really busy time for them right now with all of these interest changes. We're just hoping all goes well.

    Updated timeline:

    - AIP - 7th September
    - Submitted application - 8th Sept
    - Barclays requested further info via broker - 12 Sept
    - Info sent to Barclays - 12 Sept
    - Valuation instructed - 20 Sept (we're still waiting for a date to be set)

Still nothing yet. I'm getting quite worried about the valuation so we haven't booked an independent survey yet. Estate agent keeps chasing us so it's white stressful.

Yes, get your broker to deal with it. The last thing you want is for everything to fall through because of this. It's not worth the risk.

Given it's a typo, it'll be a quick fix and shouldn't impact your offer in any way.

My process has been absolutely painful. We are still waiting to see what is going to happen. On the broker platform it says valuation instructed but that was over a week ago now. When I ring Barclays it is extremely stressful and they are saying the valuation hasn't been instructed yet and underwriters are asking for most recent pay slips now again. It seems like it is a back and forth of asking for different information even though whenever I speak to the bank they say we have passed affordability. Honestly don't know what to think. The estate agent keeps chasing as well which isn't helping.
