  • Hi, same here, our broker applied on the 11th and all I can see is a soft search. We were told that they are slow though.

Nobody awaiting decision from Barclays? We sent full application on 11th and still not heard anything. So frustrating.

Finally track it has updated. Now says the following, Your mortgage application has now been reviewed and we'd like to discuss it with you. Your mortgage adviser will be in touch shortly.

Well I emailed my broker today to chase progress so hopefully hear something tomorrow.

I applied with Barclays on 31/03. Valuation was completed 22/04 - still awaiting a decision.
  • Barclays requested some extra documents which our advisor already had. Valuation was then completed and luckily it reflects the price we are paying. Now we are just waiting for the offer. Fingers crossed :)

    Update on my progress

11th April - broker submits full application
11th April - more documents requested
19th April - underwriters not happy with student loan payment, request we increased deposit by £5k, we accept
25th April - underwriters say adding council tax makes loan unaffordable, requests another increase of £5k to deposit, we accept. Broker says he will get BDM involved as this is unacceptable.
27th April - underwriters forced to recalculate everything and agreed its all fine, it was a mistake.
28th April - affordability passed, moved to valuation stage.

What a ride so far ...
