I have seen similar comments were people gave bern waiting a little over 4 weeks and then out the blue decision made, so hopefully if not this week next week at the latest before/ in-between jubilee celebrations1

just got a call today from the broker...they have decided now that they want to investigate a 42 pound direct debit which has appeared on my credit file. I have looked through all my bank statements and can't find anything and I haven't taken anything out!0
-
Can't they just include it for now in calculation while you look into it, im sure a £42 ain't gonna be the difference between yes and no for affordability surely?0
-
Have you checked your credit file?0

Got an update!Valuation now booked for the 06/06. Seems so far away!Barclays still haven’t confirmed our affordability, I hate this waiting game!Good luck to everyone 🤞🏾0

I called barclays who advised I call the sellers estate agent to check when they doing it, I called and they had nothing booked so he said they would do it that day, might be worth a call maybe!1
-
Update estate agent confirmed they would do valuation Thursday and submit same day and today my brookeŕ is updated barclays need payslips which we she sent 10/05/22, she said she has had to email a manger to avoid waiting a further 5 days! Has anyone had this? I just can't believe how long its taking0

Our progress.
- 6th May - AIP received.- 12th May - Mortgage submitted by Barclays Mortgage advisor.
- Nothing since unfortunately despite a couple of chases.
We are chain free and the property we are buying has no onward chain, so I really hope it doesn't delay things.0 -
Our timeline:
17 May - application made24 May - valuation done (no idea what it is annoyingly!). Barclays requested an additional form from our broker31 May - expected response from Barclays regarding the valuation.
I'm really worried about a down valuation but hoping as we are around 71% LTV it might not be too bad.0 -
Update timeline
17 May : Application submitted by broker
17 May : Hard searches and soft searches show on credit file
24 May : Request more doc, signed declaration form.
No news so far. It's been 2 weeks already, it seems Barclays is really slow right now. I even got £100 money guarantee from Trussle as they cannot give decision within 5 days.0
