I've passed affordability passed and it declined by Barclays after valuation because house was on busy road and opposite Supermarket and Petrol Station. Is this even a rule? Why they do not mention it beforehand?

Timeline so far Through Broker 
26/4/21 Offer Accepted 
2/5/21 Mortgage applied for through Broker
5/5/21 All documents and application uploaded for Barclays
And haven't heard anything since! I will chase things Friday with the broker to try and get valuation dates etc

We have also received our offer!! Applied on the 11/04, offer issued on the 04/05, received in the post on the 07/05. Such a relief!

Hi all 
we are sailing in the same boat 
28/4 -  application submitted 
4/4 - more documents submitted 
9/4 - again asked for same documents, submitted. 

Still waiting for updates. It’s with the underwriter. 

Applied through a MA 
any one have any advice for me as I really don’t know what is happening and who to contact.

Broker informs me no outstanding documents requested on his portal and its showing as being reviewed- He will chase for me tomorrow

For every 1 piece of document resubmitted, it takes 2 working days they said to review.

Message frm my broker today- Mortgage approved subject to valuation which is booked for tomorrow!! 
Exciting!

Our broker told us she had some initial issues with their application portal but managed to apply for us on 17/5. Waiting for updates.
