Morning all,
Narc0 - beautiful. I think that might be one of my favourites so far x
It’s a beautiful day here too. The wm will go on later. First it is more weed shifting at the allotment, to make space for potato planting. The house is a tip. Just saying.
Happy Easter, and have a lovely day, whatever you may be doing x8 -

Narco.. beautiful as always.
Love and hugs to those in need.. sickness, worry about loved ones, loss.. xx
crawled out of bed.. I forced myself awake, a bus journey to the outaws was not my thing..
Finishing sorting the summerhouse base.. then I need the leaky hot tap in the bathroom sorting.. then if there is time I might build the new sink base unit and have a look at the new tap... I am sure we could manage it.. it is literally screwing things together.. how hard can it be right? lol
Merry Eatster.. have a great weekend..

Aged Ps coming over for Easter lunch. We haven't had out usual family get-together since before Covid; DS and GF are on hols anyway and my sister is keeping quiet about why she's not organising (very good reason - knitting will be involved)
Mum getting more forgetful and still losing skills. Part of the reason for the job change.
Better go and fling the gammon in the oven...

Hi all
Nice weekend spending time with DS2 and then a family lunch at parents. Mum seems to have aged since Covid, we managed a short steady walk down the lane and back, but it doesnt seem five minutes since we were marching over the moors together.
Then DS1 and GF headed off home and DS2 was returned to the train station ... and the house feels very empty.
DHs year end accounts done and tax return ready to submit. Washing to bring in, then I dont know what else. The bank holiday is flying past.6 -
Been MIA for a few days now. I’ve been reading but haven’t been posting. I’ve more or less kept up with the Dailies, as planned, but haven’t always done many of the PLUSes. I’ve done a few days’ worth to catch up, so here goes.
5 DAILIES
I’ve tweaked the Dailies, having realised it’s more sensible to deal with the next day’s meals at night, rather than wasting brain power (a limited resource!) on that day’s meals. I used to do a Meal Plan. Time to do it again – but first I need to do fridge/freezer/larder inventories.
- S&S Bathroom + 1 task
- S&S Kitchen + 1 task
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes declutter
- Tomorrow’s food
THURSDAY:
- S&S Bathroom + cleaning shower and splashback
- S&S Kitchen + cleaning kettle, breadbins (GF and ‘normal’), toaster, microwave & contents; bleached drain
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes declutter: Hall – dealt with lurking post, shunting large box of compost (2x50 bags) into temporary home in Room of Doom, box of potatoes to chit prior to planting, couple of boxes back into cupboard
PLUS: Hung floormats to dry after overnight wash, dusted all rooms, DD to appointment and errand, clean laundry either put away or batched for ironing on Friday. Cleaned/disinfected rabbit cage, and took it, rabbit & chattels and DD to her dad’s. Plus Pigeon Patrol!
FRIDAY:
- S&S Bathroom + cleaning & bleaching loo
- S&S Kitchen + cleaning halogen oven and all accessories
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes declutter: Ovens (electric/halogen/MW)– recycled old aluminium trays used for baking, repurposed rack for MW which has started creating sparks when zapped.
- Out for lunch, leftovers for dinner
PLUS: 3x Washing, hung to dry. Hoovered all rooms, inc Hall. Took down recycling.
SATURDAY:
- S&S Bathroom + cleaning window ledge, changing toothmugs
- S&S Kitchen + cleaning window ledge and soap drawer of washing machine
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes declutter: Bathroom & Kitchen window ledges – removing empty bottles, dead plants etc
- Tomorrow’s lunch from freezer
PLUS: 1 load of washing for DD. Fed and watered houseplants and moved some from living room to bathroom, put newly delivered strawberries into water to recover. Bills and household admin.
SUNDAY:
- S&S Bathroom + cleaning shelves behind loo
- S&S Kitchen + cleaning fridge
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes declutter: Fridge (You can’t clean what you can’t see ROFL)
- Removed tomorrow’s dinner from freezer
PLUS: Swept living room and kitchen floors. Returned washing to DD
A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
2025 Declutter:
1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
