Thanks Pigpen - it went well, and we celebrated her life
We are all shattered now!
Paid stuff tomorrow, but finishing at 3:30 again, so not too bad.
I have said that I will help DH at his mum's house on Friday. It will be 6 weeks on Friday since she died, and I was a little shocked when I went to the house today at how much stuff is still there 😥 It is a council house, so they do not have infinite time to sort it. However, the council have not given them a date that it needs to be cleared by. Maybe it would have been better if they did have a deadline! I am very aware how many families would love to be given the opportunity of a 3 bedroom house! 😥 I know it is hard, but dragging it out doesn't make it any easier.
Flying wise here - I put the DW on before bed 😁7 -
GI.. My nanna is 94 and living in a 3 bedroomed house by herself. She moved in when the house was first built in 1965 ish when it was first built. It would be perfect for DD1 and her 4 and she has been waiting for a bungalow since the mid-80's and nothing has come up for her because she is managing. My other nanna was in a huge 4 bedroomed house alone until she got a bungalow in her later years when her health deteriorated and which she absolutely hated.. It is incredibly hard letting it go and feeling rushed to move all the belongings out. Families get 6 weeks to empty a house and hand the keys back, it is just too soon. A deadline is incredibly hard to hit and give you time to let it go. I totally understand where DH is, it is such a difficult time.88 rows left of Dr Who scarf number 2.2 loads of laundry done3 runs of the DW3 loads folded and put awaynot much else done.. but OH had beef casserole in the SC to fill his belly all week.nest time.. This morning:
- woke up far too early
- Defra survey completed, now awaiting my £10 shopping voucher as reward
- financial check completed
- computer files updated
- paperwork filed
- decision made on useless (to me) Flymo
- breakfast eaten
- DW loaded
- LR quickly tidied
- email sent to DS1, asking for help to move the old FF out, so that I can clean the utility before the new one is delivered
Now going to dress and deliver packages.
Also need to drop off a box at CS
Then I absolutely MUST send some group emails10 -
Yesterday:
- We ate from the fridge again, both meals
- S&S Bathroom + changing towels and bathmat and cleaning floor
- S&S Kitchen + changing mat near sink and cleaning floor
- Washing up (including wiping down all surfaces and the stove top)
- 15 minutes decluttering the verandah - ie jumping off the sofa to let !!!!!! pigeons know that, yes, I am still around and, no, they’re not welcome to perch on the frame either! I’ve filled an old washing up liquid bottle with dilute antibac and squirt them. I’m finding it very therapeutic! Sort of Whack-a-Mole for birds!
Plus 2 loads washing (i) towels (ii) floormats and floor cloths at 60deg with disinfectant. Took rubbish down to bin, did a shop, took a recalled product back to Boots.I also picked DD up from the railway station and dropped her off at her dad's. She's always spent equal time with us both. But his place is quieter for sleeping - there's no upstairs flat with kitchen/bathroom/living room over the bedrooms! So I'll possibly just do the Daily Basics till she goes back after Easter but try to fit in as much extra as I can around the visit. On the upside, the rabbit is also paying a visit to her dad's!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Washing out on line - mostly bedding
I have massively culled my wardrobe - if it doesn't fit, or I don't wear it (because I don't like it) it has gone. I have 'handed down' stuff which I have decided can go. There will be TWO bin bags full going to CS.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I have the DW running and OH did cat trays.
I am having my breakfast apple and feeding children and then heading upstairs to sort a parcel and cull the girls wardrobes.. The landing is full of stuff since I shuffled my room and it is only a matter of time before I break toes on the junk there.I need to sort an overnight bag for he 3 smalls to go to DIL's on Satutday.3 or 4 parcels to post (delegate to ds2) and a thing to prep to return.
Find Lionels birthday present (and the outfit I got Jazzles which I had forgotten about.) and decide what to get Twinkle and Fabian.. Spam is having money towards his much needed and wanted bike.
Valli.. that is always so liberating, I need to sort my clothes but between medication my bosy cannot decide what size it is or how it feels.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
All clothes schlepped down to sally army.
Watched a clean house prog while eating dinner. well wow...
I now own 3 skirts. I'm tempted to go and buy flock hangers from dun3lm - pack of 25 but I don't think I own 25 garments which need hanging...
(although there is a wardrobe full of shoes/boots and bags and a wardrobe in DD's room with dresses and coats in...)
DS & GF are in Mallorca. I have requested saffron ... so much cheaper than here,Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
