As I've been reading this thread I've been so impressed by the amount people get done and, especially, the way various people overcome challenges.I must admit, I've had a bit of a rough year myself but hopefully things are looking up. I've got a bit more energy than I did and need to get back on track. I think I've tried most systems, including FLYlady and have come to the conclusion that they all have good bits that 'speak to me' but I'm going to have to amalgamate them and build my own.So...I only include the bathroom and kitchen for Zone Work. I've S&S'd both and added 1 weekly task every day on for years. I do these first thing in the morning while I'm not awake enough to notice! so, eg, today was S&S change cleaning cloths and empty and clean bins in both.Today was a bit off-track. I did S&S both (inc wiping down counters and stove top, as my mother always did) but the rest of the day has been dedicated to one thing. Getting rid of the plague of pigeons infesting the verandah of my 1st floor flat. I've been trying for months and the various supposedly pigeon repelling things have worked for a few days - sometimes even a week - then they come back. The weather's not been the best for most of the last few months - certainly not for a person with bad balance and a thing about heights trying to use a stepladder close to the railing! However, yesterday and today the wind dropped to about 19-20mph. According to my weather app it "felt 2degC" but you can't have everything... I built a frame and loosely netted it yesterday. Too loosely, so the little ba bu blighters got back in. I tightened it all up and (fingers crossed) closed the gaps today. It took all morning and a little more after lunch but I had a few disgruntled looking birds shooting me reproachful glances until I closed the curtains. Hopefully they won't use the hours of darkness to find bits I've missed!I was chilled to the bone again today and other work was interrupted by my DS asking for a lift to an emergency appointment with the optician. He's Type 1 diabetic and was having problems with his eyes. So I had a nice hot bath, turned the heating up and haven't done much else.Feeling a bit better, but that tiredness you feel when you've been really cold. So I'm off to bed as soon as I post this. Tomorrow I'm hoping to clear the verandah to make it habitable to humans. Plus a few dailies, but we'll see.Apologies for going on so long but I really needed to get those birds off my chest, as well as off my verandah!Hope everybody has a restful night and wakes to an improved tomorrow.

Morning ladies
Yesterday was full on, I was zonked by 9pm. Today it’s just DS and I at home, the weather is pants so we are having a chilled day. We will do some baking, tend to the birds and generally potter. The washing is up to date and there is a small amount of washing up to do.
I need some inspiration for DDs room, I am going to paint it but she’s nearly 10 and it’s hard to find anything that inspires me. Ideas online are either too babyish or too teen! I’ll keep looking.
Have fab days all xx
PS @mumtoomany I’m so glad your ewe is okay. Our friend came down to three dead lambs yesterday, so sad, this weather has been brutal for lambing this time hereabouts xx

Morning all,
Thank you for the threads. Lots of hugs to Natty xx
Sorry for having been AWOL for a week or so. Was out of sorts, minimal (occasional washing of my work mug, that’s minimal) flying. A lovely flylady suggested taking the BD for a walk, so I opted for exhaustion level digging at the allotment, which seems to have tired him out a little. However, the lbm was finding out that maybe it was my Oomph that had gone on its holidays after all. Whoever knew that the collective Oomph had organised a group tour.So today, despite it being gloomy outside, I am kicking myself up the derrière, and telling myself to get a grip. I have changed the bedding and the wm is running. It’s a start. It’s hospital day later with DD, which never helps matters.
Welcome, basketcase. If it helps, one of your pigeons has relocated to the cherry tree outside my bedroom window. I drew the curtains to see it systematically pulling all the buds off…that’s when it isn’t pulling the buds off the tulips 😡.9 -
Ironing doneGoing to multi task in a bit, walking and going to local car boot.Just chased NND's cat out of the house, 2 of mine sat there and watched, I don't mine him in the garden, but not in the house.Valli, hope the meet and greet was a good one, and you have some great new work colleagues.Fayolle hope hospital appointment for DD goes ok. You made me laugh about the pigeon pulling buds off, at least the deer haven't been back here for the rest of the roses.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Listed some stuff on FB for free this morning which will clear some space in the garage, hopefully that will be collected soon. It is dismal and drizzly here so we have lit the fire.
I litterpicked at the weekend, messaged the council to say could someone collect it, they said no because you have taken it all home you will have to pay for it to be collected... x8 -
ASB I would have left the rubbish in or next to the nearest council bin.Walking done, 64 miles in total so far out of 100 miles. Car boot very poor only 9 sellers plus a burger vanOff to weed the flower beds this afternoon.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Belovéd is still getting tired from C19 and has to crash occasionally, which is most unlike him. I'm still taking it fairly easy because I get so overtired anyway and I'm not about to make that worse but we are at least over the sneezing and sore throat stage.Today I've tidied up my desk, will fold up and put away the last of the four loads of laundry all of which is line-dried before the end of the day, and we went to a specialty loose food shop near us we've been meaning to go to since it opened. Lovely stuff, expensive but worthwhile I think. And I applied for my buspass! Every time I do something like that I have to learn new things about my computer but I suppose it's a good thing that I'm force to keep up, challenging though it is. Today's lesson was how to upload a passport-style photo from a digital camera, which will also be useful for my railcard in August, and how to manage without w!nzi!p. I'm so tired of one of the richest men in the world trying to extract money from me every time I use kit I thought I'd bought and paid for years ago. This isn't an advert but just in case it saves someone who needs a bit of help some pennies, P3tpl@n are offering free pet insurance for a year for any Ukrainians who bring their pets to the UK.
Better is good enough.9 -
HB. 7-zip is free and an independent writer.. is super easy to use and actually wroks unlike the rich man version.
basket. welcome..
Love and hugs and Fred-fanks..
Had an overnight at the inlaws at the weekend.. spent the best part of 2 weeks with a poorly tummy as a reaction to the new pain medication so I am now off everything until I can find the time to make a doctors appointment when I can spend the entire day waiting for a call they are simly not going to make to have to ring them again at 5;30 when thye will claim to have tried calling me 22 times during the day and say they left a message on my non-existent voicemail.. really, who has time for that idiocy.. just give me an appointment, I will come, be poked and leave again and my day is mine.. because my time is important too!!!
washing up to date, my fish died, the appliances all went through a clean cycle and half the inside of the car has been washed after Twinkle upchucked her dinner all over it on Sunday night abut 5 minutes from home.
I've spent the afternoon knitting the dr Who scarf.. and done nothing because it hurts to enough to sit and do nthing I don't need to be mving about and making it worse.
Girls off to dil's next weekend so OH and I are sorting the base for the summerhouse at the weekend.. and I sold 1 item on Vinted.
My life is as gloriously boring as usual.
oh.. FIL had a minor heart attack yesterday morning. he is fine and likely to be home in a day or 2.

Well done on pigeon proofing the balcony Basketcase, they must make a mess.
And Fayolle hope the hospital appointment went well. DS has the hematologist later this month so I am hoping they let me go in with him, its a waste of time otherwise. The hospital have put something on his notes to say that it is helpful if I can attend appointments, but it depends on the Covid situation.
Long day at the paid stuff. LR fire cleaned out and LR tidied. Our sheets changed as its supposed to be good weather tomorrow. Some clean washing to put away, I will do that before bed. Yoga done first thing, have booked to see the podiatrist about my ankle after Easter.
HB Mum says she has never felt tiredness like she is experiencing post Covid, and Pigpen hope FIL is OK.
Two days left at the paid stuff for those who get Bank Holidays off, cant believe its Easter already!10 -
Good evening! I am sorry I have been AWOL...
Thank you ladies for the lists.
I have been trying to get up to date at the allotment, but I am not sure that I am winning 😭
Paid stuff today, but finished early. A quick pick up of toys, than ran the hoover round before we had a visit from the undertaker to go over a few bits for MiLs funeral tomorrow. It has been nearly 6 weeks since she died! I think DH is struggling at the moment. Hopefully this will give him some sort of closure. There is still the house to sort, but he has a few days off so hopefully we can make some headway.
DD1, DSiL & my mum came for dinner this evening. The kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off, but it is all sorted now 😇 I even ironed DD2'S fiancé's shirt!!
Hugs to those that need them, esp Natty. Jazee I hope you are feeling a bit better now. I also hope that everyone else that have recently had CV are feeling better soon. Dizzy I hope you managed to get some more sleep!
I have turned my alarm off for tomorrow, and am going to try and sleep now. Night night all! x9
