More than 4gb of ram should work.
Poco phones are cheap, but good. I use a Poco F2 Pro.
    great battery, camera and storage.
It just refused my poco f2, for being rooted (except it isn't). I'm on android 12, miui 13

I've tried on my MOTO plus 5, no joy at all.

If any one has the same phone and has succeded to download the app. please let me know as I must be doing some thing wrong.
I have a Samsung pad, I'll try that too.

If it is running Android 8.1 or newer then it is likely it is running a 32bit version of Android.

You aren't going to change that.

To check, from the Google Play Store install an app called CPU-Z. Launch the app, then in the SYSTEM tab look for the Kernel Architecture. This should tell you if it is 64 or 32 bit.

Followed the above and under Kernel Architecture mine says
    armv 71

Googling that it says 32 bit

Have you got a tablet you can try?

I would go with zopa if your device doesn't work with chase. The ROI in buying a new phone doesn't make sense.

I'm using a 2015 iPhone 6s. I've had a look on eBay and some of these are going for approximately £40.

If you do think about this option, make sure you look for the 6s version as I'm not sure in the plain '6' version supports the latest iOS

Yes the 6 was dropped for support in 2019 yet the 6S is still updated (yet was launched just one year later), but it must be due to be dropped from updates very soon. I think the sweet spot for a current second hand iPhone would be an 2nd generation SE (2020 model) should get one for £150 ish, that’s if you want to use it for more than accessing Chase.
