You've obviously got plenty of time not to be worried about third world issues if you can compose & send the above tripe. Thanks for the off topic contribution & have a nice Christmas worrying about all those worse off than yourself.

Probably what the Chief Exec's office said about you!
    Gone ... or have I?

English not your first language or have you lost your reading specs ? - I said "it might help" - not suggest Tesco flog stuff at a loss.

Before the infant schools pack up for Christmas see if you can borrow some Biff & Kipper readers

Well sarcasm's obviously your first language. It won't make any difference, at a 4% overall margin if you reduce things just because someone moans you might as well sell it as a loss.

The fact you have to pick on such petty things about my posts shows your obviously not confident about your argument and just want to divert interest to something else.

    To be fair
If a shop sells somthing at that price for any item..wotever it may be...then isnt it fair that u decide urself if u will buy it or not....

An example is petrol...however expensive it gets we still fill up our tanks.if not then walk or not use car.....

same with shop prices...why is the corner shop more expensive ?? yet pple still go to get their items from them.

Why are some people being nasty on here? The OP only questioned why something has risen in price by 50% in one fell swoop. Maybe if more people made a fuss, the big supermarkets would see that they can't just raise prices without justifying it, in the hope no-one will notice.

The OP might get a reply from his e-mail and decide he no longer wants to shop there. What harm is he doing in firing off an e-mail?

forgetful quoted .....................................................................................................as l have said before in another post, milk is more expensive in supermarkets than local small shops in fact its usually only 99p in small shops compared to the outrageous supermarket prices.obviously the small shops cant buy in bulk the way supermarkets do and hold the farmers to ransom. Even after being fined £116m or whatever it was for price fixing the prices are still very high. l would like to know who gets this money. £116 million ? l am sure its not the shoppers. and l would say that we should support our local shops if they are cheaper..

Like I said b4 the price for an item is there and if u wish to pay for it at that price than its up to the customer.......

a very good example are designer clothes.......

why pay say £500 for a handbag in one shop when u can get a very cheap one from say Primark or a mid of range one from ..say River Island.........etc.

Like my boss says...THE MENU IS THERE AND THE DOOR IS THERE>>>>

Not in my local shops, £1.39 and £1.45, but still I buy from them as my nearest supermarket is a 23 mile round trip, and petrol prices are a far bigger worry to me. (Perhaps Tel could do something about that too, after all, Tesco do sell petrol too.)

Does no-one watch/read news? It's been well documented that wheat and diary prices are rising in this country. Due to varuious factors, including the rise in animal feed, dairy's closing down and high global demand. If the base ingredients are costing more then so does the finished product.
The supermarkets said they would try and absorb rises, however I don't think much of that! I noticed the yougurts have been creeping up, and Tesco put 1p on a small bread baton, but 10p on a packet of 6 hot-dog rolls!

Well i'm obviously that interesting sort of mug buyer that rather than emailing a ceo everytime a price goes up by 8p just works out wheres cheapest and gets it from there.

If you choose to make an assumption about how I choose to buy like your above post then be prepared to be wrong! The only one starting an argument is you by assuming things of others ie your "roll over and take things" assumption and the assumption above!

Some people just have more common sense and knowledge of business (knowing that wholesale prices can rapidly change, therefore RRP's can change and not be due to a company ripping people off) and don't choose to act like some petty Victor Meldrew.

The only one whos puerile is you, I can tell that by the childish smiles you choose to use!
