Its always like this and now with Christmas the most popular things normally go up a few pence. But other things they loose money on so its hit and miss.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Uniform Washer
Warbutons bread was £1 now £1.16
  • I noticed the pasta too.

Just finished my last bag at a £1 and then got another for £2.25 not good.

I always buy those yoghurts too last time i paid 19p i ll keep an eye on those.
  • Look - it's quite simple really. Tesco set prices that match the lowest you can find in any of the other supermarkets. As soon as the others raise prices, so do Tesco. Sir T won't be concerned if Asda's own brand yogs are also 22p as he can maintain the cheapest prices claim, however he will be concerned if Asda are cheaper... a quick look on the Tesco.com price checker reveals Own Label Premium Yog 150g to be 64p at Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys so looks like Terry will be happy... If you can find any product that is comparable and cheaper than Tesco, send your e-mails and there's a good chance they'll actually change it.

used to be £1.12 went up to £1.48 then down to £1.35 so i stopped looking quite so carefully

    mortgage owing 04.07 £36,000
    mortgage owing 07.10 £0 !!!!
  • Can you check this out and let me know the reasons if the 22p price is correct

Im sorry but do tesco's have to answer their pricing policy to you?
  • We've stopped shopping at Tescos.

There are hundreds of examples of everyday things that we buy that have sky-rocketed in price in the last 6 months....compared to other supermarkets.

The yogurt we buy has gne up from 40p odd to 78p. The bread I buy went up overnight from 88p to £1.08 and so on. CON!

This was bound to happen - they lured everyone in with cheap prices, now unashamedly have bumped prices day by day - and lets face it, most shoppers wont notice!

ive noticed too how much their stuff has gone up

their fresh pasta used to be 98p now its £1.34 same with their mozerella cheese etc.

they have adverts saying that they pay a premium price to their farmers but they are at the ofrefront of a price fixing war

ie up the cost to the consumer but pay the farmer minimum.
  • since when has a shop had to have prices that satisfy some customers? from what i gather, some people are whinging as the prices don't suit what they expect, well boo hoo!!

There are food shortages and it's expected to get worse so prices will consistently rise for the next short while.
