that logic is contradicted by the beer prices - why have a 3 for £20 offer (37p/can) in a week when they can't get the beer pallets out quick enough ?
As for the suggestions of a con - is it a con if Tesco double the price of something, yet its still cheaper than anywhere else ? On that logic I wouldn't try going on the Ebay website - their prices are increasing all the time... :rotfl:0 -

Im sorry but do tesco's have to answer their pricing policy to you?
For the sake of good consumer relations yes, if you don't ask you don't get. Do you think we should be rolling over and accepting every price hike ? - I'm sure they will reply to this one along the lines that the price of cattle feed in Lower Kazakstan has affected world prices of fruit yoghurt but they bought the milk/lower quality fruit going into the value one on the futures market in 19950 -
I've just sent this e mail to their top man
Dear Sir Terry
I sometimes buy your pots of Tesco brand yoghurt. Yesterday I was shocked to see they had increased from 14p to 22p a whopping 50% rise. Your Value Yoghurt however has not increased in price and remains at 8p.
Can you check this out and let me know the reasons if the 22p price is correct
Regards

Are you for real?!!
Some people in this world have real problems - famine, crime, poverty etc. You have written to the Chief Exec of a company to ask him to check the price of a pot of yoghurt.
Get a life!Gone ... or have I?0 -

So if you send an email it will go down then?
Just because someone questions you their rolling over accepting everything then? Or do they just have a bit of common sense.
As you said you'll get some reason for the increase, what will you do then? Getting a reason won't make the price go down will it!!! So you'd have to accept the price rise anyway!0 -
So if you send an email it will go down then?
No but if enough people did on items they've racked up by 50% it might helpJust because someone questions you their rolling over accepting everything then? Or do they just have a bit of common sense.
I didn't ask someone or you only ButlerAs you said you'll get some reason for the increase, what will you do then? Getting a reason won't make the price go down will it!!! So you'd have to accept the price rise anyway!
I'll consider what I do if & when I do get a reply.
Don't you feel a bit of a plonker walking around with the words "ILL MANNERED SUCKER" daubed on you forehead ?0 -

You've obviously got plenty of time not to be worried about third world issues if you can compose & send the above tripe. Thanks for the off topic contribution & have a nice Christmas worrying about all those worse off than yourself.0 -
I didn't ask someone or you only Butler
My post was easy enough to understand, that someone was ButlerDon't you feel a bit of a plonker walking around with the words "ILL MANNERED SUCKER" daubed on you forehead ?
No because it's not.
Perhaps you should write hypocrite on yours! No but if enough people did on items they've racked up by 50% it might help
So they'd sell things at a loss if enough people complain? I don't think so, last time I looked Tesco's had a profit margin of 4% If a 50% price increase was just pure profit then with the amount of time prices change they would not have a 4% profit margin!!!!
The only person who's a sucker is the one devoting all this time on a 22p pot of yoghurt when you could either buy one for 8p or buy another brand or shop elsewhere!!!!!0 -
Short memories for some of you ! this summer in Europe was some of the worse growing conditions ever and the year before was not to clever either !
Get your Bums to the local market where the fruit and veg man works for 33% profit margin not 49% like tesco etc"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

Is English not your first language or have you lost your reading specs ? - I said "it might help" - not suggest Tesco flog stuff at a loss.
Before the infant schools pack up for Christmas see if you can borrow some Biff & Kipper readers0
