Thanks for the link @Coxy11. Just the sort of mindless knitting that would occupy me enough. And the squares are a good idea too @bubbs

Visitors at breakfast time @joedenise!! 🤔😴

I'm not a yogurt fan @beanielou but I did try the banana flavour years ago. You were supposed to semi freeze it and it's like ice cream. It's not! 🤣

I'm drawing a line under today and moving on. All my meals have been on plan but I had afternoon tea which would have been very synful. I was at a dance this afternoon and it's usually a buffet which I planned to just pick from. Instead they'd laid tables and it was impossible to not join in. I had a couple of sandwiches and a cheese scone. At least I had plenty of Body Magic to help it off. Back on plan tomorrow.

Don't lurk @TakeItEazy. What's the problem? You've been at target or close for years and years. Come back soon! 😊

The Scotch eggs still look good to me @bubbs. I'm sure they will taste just fine.😋

Yes I was very surprised @maman when my DD2 arrived so early.  I didn't think she'd arrive until at least 10am.  Apparently she'd been to the local boot fair before she came as well!  Found out she'd left home at 6.45 - she lives about an hour away so she must have spent about an hour at the boot fair before coming up!

Wow @joedenise that's so early for a Sunday! I was up at 7.15am to go for a run but even that felt too early!

and good morning to you all,

LO gammon, savoury rice and veg was lovely and only took 15 mins to prepare. There's some more LO gammon in the fridge, so I'll use that up today. Played Rummikub with DD after dinner. When she's back from uni we usually don't see her as she's out with BF, but he was working this weekend. The games got quite competitive!

I've woken with a slight headache, so on a bit of a go slow this morning. DH is in Solihull today, DD still here as she needs to get her car re-MOT'd before heading back to Brighton. Slight issue with rear lights that DH fixed yesterday and she needs another new tyre (so that'll be 3 this weekend) - honestly it's like triggers broom that car....

    Food today will be:
B - WM toast, 2 tsp jam, pineapple, strawbs, grapes - HEB, 1
    L - omelette with gammon, salad leaves, pickles - P, S
    D - Tom Kerridge's chicken mascarpone, potatoes, green veg - P, 3.5
    HEA - milk
    Syns - 3.5

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Have you tried the Tom Kerridge recipe before @Coxy11? Do let us know what it's like.

    I made a start on a scarf last night.😊

My dinner is going to be very much the same as my breakfast today but I don't care! DH has gone to an evening, face to face meeting for the first time in 2+ years and I'll be out before he gets back so I'm having my favourite. Egg and Chips!! 😁😋

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried egg (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    L- ham (P), fried veg, cornichons and beetroot (S), 1 potato (F)
D- fried eggs (P), SW chips (F), veg hash (tomatoes, mushrooms, spring onions, peppers S)
    Syns- 0

Evening all, very quiet on here today!  Weather has been lovely again here.

I've been out all day.  Opticians this morning and the health check showed that my eyes are still OK and my cataracts aren't any worse than last time.  Also agreed that my vision has changed so little I don't need new glasses although if I wanted to then I could - why on earth would I fork out £300+ for glasses when they're not needed!  DH's health check didn't go as well as mine!  They did the 3D picture twice but both times couldn't get a photo for the optician to look at so as his vision also hasn't changed enough to warrant new glasses they said leave it this time and see how they are in a year's time.  So that saved him £10.

It's his birthday today so I paid for a golf lesson for him and he's finally had a lesson with someone who was able to work round the fact that he can't bend his left wrist!  She was really good so suspect he's going to want to have more lessons with her once he's consolidated working on his golf over the next few weeks.

We also went out to lunch and decided to go to the same place we went recently as it was quite near the golf centre.  We both had the same lunch as last time - well almost!

    So today's plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich, brown sauce - HEB; P; S; 1
L - chicken breast skewers on a bed of peppers and onions; corn on the cob; salad; BBQ sauce - P; S; F; 2.5
    D - egg, fried up potatoes, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - brown sauce 1; BBQ sauce; 0.5; oil 2; gin 6

Hope everyone has had a good day.
