  • Well done on the amazing losses, especially Bubbs, you will definitely be having syns now!

Not been a great weekend, mum has deteriorated rapidly and went into hospice today, our plans have been changing virtually by the hour, as we have been left under no illusion of the time left. It was difficult dealing with everyone coming in, remembering who had been in, eating , what was that? Only consolation is that she is in no pain, has her mental capacity and until last night, was mobile. She was happy to go into the hospice as, as far as she was concerned, it was for 2 nights, so we left her thinking that. GP phoned me at 8:30 this morning to say that transport would be with us in an hour. It was a volunteer transfer team, who could have been from anywhere in the county, so it was strangely comforting when they looked at my aunt and called her by name! They were her neighbours, so it felt a more personable transfer if you know what I mean.

Did get on scales when I got home, have lost 5lb since Thursday, not the nicest way to do it, but at least it could have gone the other way as there was nothing on plan! My brother coming over later and I have not got the inclination to cook, suggested takeaway but he said he has fish which needs to be cooked off, so I have just had a turkey rasher sandwich, no speed, but no syns either😀
A smile costs little but creates much :)

The eye test itself was fine.  It was just the 3D photo which didn't work where they can see what the health of the retina and how the cataracts are doing.  He could see the spots and the squares thing!  We were in there for a good hour.

We've both got a one year recall so will see how things are then.  Obviously if anything gets worse he'll go back earlier than that.

Dissapointed to report only a measly 1/2 off this week.
Not that it matters a jot in the grand scheme of things.
