Glad DS is back with you Jellybaby x

Long day in London. Was sat outside CMO’s office today which was surreal. Met friend in Clapham for a white skinny Americano after work. Really enjoyed DH’s cooking. Couldn’t say how much pork but he made 500g stretch to 6 portions 👍🏻

Have finished Happy Valley (not!) series 1. Think I need a break from the grimness !!

Yes, that's right @Coxy11, thanks for putting me on to it. 😊 And I'll definitely try the Tom Kerridge recipe.

Seems like a waste of a good doctor during a desperate shortage @Gettingtherequickly. Good that you and your mum have that support though.

Well done on your shiny @annabanana82

So pleased that your son is back safe and sound @Jellybaby. 😊

    Today's EE plan -
B- fried egg (P), baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), veg hash and beetroot (S)
D- salmon (P), cubed potatoes, peas (F), carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns - 0

    Hello all
It was all going soooo well…
And then I had McDonalds on Saturday!
I’m away now all next weekend so it’s actually going to be a little bit easier to make better choices. Not necessarily 100% on plan all the time, but better choices.
I’ve made peace with whatever the scales are going to be tomorrow. Que sera sera and all that. My friend has been off plan the entire week so we’re going to face the music together 😂to be fair it will be a gain but i don’t think it will be massive. I broke the back of that 5lbs gain.
I can’t do a syn bank as I have dyscalculia really badly (basically number dyslexia to anyone who doesn’t know) and I struggle to keep track of daily syns anyway.
I let the syns go back up as I was becoming obsessive with lower syns and not eating nearly enough (one of the issues with my particular MH disorder) so I had to let it go a bit. It didn’t seem to cause any issues though and I did lose a bit.  I’m struggling a lot with work at the moment so my health is not the greatest.
That said today hasn’t been bad. I managed a walk after work too.
B: HEXB Lizi’s LS granola with FF natural Greek yoghurt and blueberries. Coffee with HEXA 0 sugar oat milk
L: Mackerel, couscous (0.5) and veg. Skinny bar (3)
    D- Keema curry, rice (2)
    S: Popchips (3.5) Skinny bar (3)
    Syns: 11.5
    Night all xx

    Morning everyone,

Great news @maman thank you - mine is currently 8" long, so I've a way to go yet! Think they need posting off in August so I've time to do more.

@Gettingtherequickly - glad DMum is settled and that you have good people looking out for her x

Great that you've got a buddy to go to group with @MrsRyan and that you've got plans to make better choices this coming weekend. Let us know how you get on xx

I'm trying a new SW recipe from the cookbook I won in the raffle. It's bolognaise risotto. Will report back later with the verdict.

    Food today:
B - poached egg, grilled bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans - P, S
L - FF cottage cheese, 6(!) Ryvita rye cakes, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - HEB, S
    D - bolognaise risotto - P, S
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybel
    Syns- hifi bar - 3

    Have a good day everyone,

    Coxy

I'm not even going to try and get into a contest over scarf measuring @Coxy11.🤣 I know you can do it any colour you like but I thought I'd use up some blue wool I've got (interspersed with the odd stripe to make it more interesting) and then see how I feel.

It must be difficult as you struggle to literally count syns @MrsRyan. I wonder if you thought about food values/calories and/or known culprits instead it would help. Like making a choice between McDonalds and, say, a salad bowl from Subway. I've no idea of the syns but I know instinctively which is the better SW choice. Similarly, logic tells me that if I don't have syns tonight I'll have more left for treats at the weekend.

I had a couple of water biscuits last night as I was hungry because of another early dinner. Fortunately,  I stopped myself at 2 and had cottage cheese and apple instead.

Miserable day here, dull and damp. Fortunately just the one day as far as I can see on the forecast.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P), leaves (S)
D- toad in the hole, mash, LO gravy (F), carrots, cauli, broccoli, onions (S)
Syns - 2 cornflour in batter, sausages 1

Afternoon all, back from group and not a happy bunny!  Put on lb, I quite expected to have 0.5lb gain but was surprised it was the full lb - I counted up my syns for the week and it was only 75!  I was expecting the gain because of having far too many syns on Thursday evening!

So it's definitely a stick to plan week from today!  Today's plan:

    B - strawberries, grapes, natural FF greek style yoghurt - S; F
    L - sweet chilli noodles - S; F; 3
    D - cottage pie, cabbage, green beans, petit pois - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light (if I want a snack this evening)
HEB - Crisp breads (if I want a snack this evening)
Syns - 2 Tbs sweet chilli sauce 3; pink and white 2.5

Looking at your menu @maman was just thinking we've not had toad in the hole for ages - think that may get slotted in somewhere rather than a HM ready meal from the freezer!

Hope everyone is having a good day

That's so annoying @joedenise - maybe in a twisted way you had too few syns?

I've invited friends over on Friday night and we're having a takeaway curry. Will be ordering a shashlik and only drinking one rum n pepsi max, will just drink pepsi max afterwards. Hopefully means less damage for Saturday morning WI.

I only had 3 rye cakes at lunchtime as that's all I could manage! Will use the other half HEB for my hifi which means I have syns for later.

Quite possibly @Coxy11 but suspect it's really the bottle of wine plus brandy on Thursday night which took me into nearly 3 days syns!  Cut back after that but maybe it was just too much!

Going to stick with about 10 a day this week and hopefully that lb will be back off next week!  That's how many I had the 2 weeks I lost 1.5lb so maybe it will work again!  I can but hope.

What are the rye cakes like?  I've not had them but it would be something different for lunches.
