I don't think my cataracts are bad enough to have to have them done yet but if I do I'm in the right age bracket (going on what you said @bubbs!).

Think you should try to aim for around the same number of syns again this coming week and see if it results in another good loss!  It might be your metabolism needed a bit of a boost with the different foods to what you normally have.  Good luck any way.

Just had this for lunch, breakfast was a pear at group
Hexb and 1 syn for sauce, bacon, egg and mushroom. These pitta are not a patch on soft pittas 😰

Which ones are they @bubbs so we can avoid them?  I couldn't find any of my usual wholemeal rolls in the freezer (now added to next week's shopping list!) so we ended up with our burger and onions in a sort of D shaped pitta - not sure where they came from but think they might have been Morries!  I'll certainly not be buying D shaped pitta again!  I counted it as HEB as it weighed a bit over 60g.

Agree about the soft pittas, they're really good.  Again I need to get some more but think I'll wait until after our holiday as won't need them and rolls this month!

Great losses! 😀Well done to you both @bubbs and @Coxy11! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It was certainly worth sticking to the plan. Just think @Coxy11, if you'd indulged at the Craft Fayre then you might not have seen today's loss.

Having syns certainly seems to have done the trick @bubbs. And you didn't end up just eating for the sake of it. It was worth forcing yourself to have a flake in your ice cream! 🤣

How did your dinner go without the eggs last night @beanielou?🤔

That sounds like a surreal experience at the opticians @joedenise. I go to one optician for my eye test because he's a nice guy with a good 'bedside' manner but I never buy glasses there. I take the prescription to Boots as they always have decent offers like a second pair half price and the Advantage points are good too. I only wear glasses for distances so generally have prescription sunglasses as my second pair as I need them for driving.

Our team is playing away today so I'll listen to the match while pottering in the kitchen. My plan is to make beef in red wine for tomorrow's dinner as I'm out in the afternoon and then I can just reheat it when I get home. I'll be able to use some of those frozen potatoes and parsnips from the Easter veg wars too.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
    D- chicken curry (P,S), HM pilau (F)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😊

We've booked appointment with the local Specsavers for Monday.  We'll pay the £10 for the extra eye examination as think we probably need that with the cataracts.  They'd better not say I need new glasses as advised today not needed as prescription is so close to what I have.  Same for DH.  Will definitely just be taking the prescription!

Denise, they were from Morries, i never weighed it as app said they are hexb.

It was specsavers that said to DH about his cataracts, they just said what are you doing about your cataracts? he said what cataracts ? they said they are bad :( so they appeared in a year as religiously he went opticians every 12 months as has always had bad eye sight. He had the first one done about 6 weeks later (May) , i had first hand done June then they sent for him for the other one in the September but couldn't go as i was having op on my other hand, so went in the October  , his eyes are really good now, only needs glasses for distance .

Maman DH always used to go Boots when glasses were really expensive £300 odd and lenses glass, they broke after a couple of months and wouldn't do anything so never went there again

Today i will have pitta pizza so that's 6 syns. Actually 7 syns, i thought they were 6 but not just checked, pays to check!!

@bubbs Quite a few of the HEB breads are 7 syns!  I'm sure they all used to be 6 syns if you'd already had your HEB.  Porridge is now 7 syns as well.

Glad your DH's eyes are much better now - he was certainly very young for cataracts.
