@bubbs - 2 crisp breads count as Speed as well as HEB so 2 can be a full HEB rather than just half!

You're right @maman - it's @bubbs fault - I kept feeling jealous of her ice cream photos so decided to get my machine out of the cupboard.  The bowl is back in the freezer ready for some more ice cream when I get some more greek yoghurt!

    Evening all
Apologies for the AWOL-ness 😂I’ve been lurking though I promise!
My excesses at the weekend resulted in a 5lb gain 🙈I’ve been very very good though and it’s already starting to budge (thank heavens)
I’m away next Sunday and I hadn’t expected it so I just need to try and be as good as I can this week- And I know next Sunday is only one day. I feel huge though- like I know I’ve put a load of weight on. I need to change that ASAP. I’ve rejoined a gym too- hoping to try and go for a swim some point this week.

    Today’s food:
B: HEXB Lizi’s no sugar granola, blueberries and fat free natural Greek yoghurt. Decaf coffee with HEXA no sugar oat milk
L: Mackerel, rice (2) and veg. Alpen Light (3)
D- Teriyaki salmon (2) wholewheat noodles, veg. Strawberries and raspberries with measured cream (6)
    S: Skinny bar (3) Popchips (3.5)
    Syns: 19.5

Ooh I got some of those mock tail drinks from Aldi. Currently drinking a ‘Cosmopolitan’ over ice. It’s amazing, free and an absolute bargain price. I have 3 others to try too.

    Night all xx

Boo! to the gain @MrsRyan but at least you always get results when you get back on plan so I'm sure you'll see it off. Any chance you can control syns next Sunday? 🤔 Keep thinking of your graduation and what you want to achieve. 😊

Morning all, woke up really early this morning so decided might as well get up as we need to go out about 8.30 as we have optician appointments and it can take anything up to an hour to get there depending on the traffic - there's also roadworks on the way!

@MrsRyan - sorry about your gain but you know where it came from.  As @maman says you always seem to shift the weight well when you put your mind to it.  Notice you've gone back to nearly 20 syns a day again, could you cut back a bit during the week to give you a bit of leeway for next Sunday?  Perhaps work on the weekly syn bank?

Didn't get any sausages out of the freezer yesterday as didn't think we would have time for a fry up this morning so change to the meal plan, so today's plan is:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - burger, onions & pickles in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - braised liver and onions, mash, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - burger 0.5; couple of alcohol free G&T - 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

A bit of a grey start here so I hope it stays dry for the walk to group. I gave blood last night. Had a hifi bar mid afternoon and took a banana with me for afterwards. There was a smorgasbord of tuck, including orange club biscuits, kit kats and my absolutely fave - Tuc cheese sandwich. Oh my days how I could have snaffled one of those. But I didn't. I sat patiently and ate my banana whilst booking my next appointment for August. If I don't lose AT LEAST 0.5lb I will be so cross lol!

Shame about the gain @MrsRyan but I'm sure you'll rein things in this week for a loss next time. Good luck.

That salad sounded really stingy @Jellybaby - I would have still been hungry too!

I've ordered 6 packs of the Ryvita rye cakes which will be arriving some time today. Was thinking I could offload to the SOW basket if I don't like them!

    Food today:
B - overnights oats with mullerlight and frozen cherries - HEB, 0.5 (taking this with me to group)
    L - mackerel, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 1, S
D - BBQ - exact components still to be decided and shopped for!
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybel
    Syns - 1.5 plus may have a rum n pepsi max later for 3 - total 4.5

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Hi, I'm back from WI with a 1.5lbs loss - very happy with that! I also won the raffle - Comfort Zone cookbook - another to add to my collection :)

Lots of members gained this week so we were talking through ideas for not reaching for naughty stuff and planning ahead. I suggested knitting or adult colouring to keep the hands busy :) Works for me....sometimes.....

Don't think we will have a BBQ as slightly raining here. Will have to replan tonight's dinner!

Well done @Coxy11 and @bubbs.  Looks like you need those syns to lose @bubbs - I found the same.  I need at least 70 a week to lose and 105 to maintain.  Did you add up how many syns you actually had this week?  Worth trying to aim for the same again.

Went to a new opticians this morning and it was really weird - it's all done virtually with no optician present in the room.  I don't need new glasses but it was suggested I go to a "normal" optician so that I can have the eye health check as suspect my cataract has got a bit worse.

Exactly the same for DH so looks like we've saved a bit of money which we were expecting to spend today.

Now need to make appointments at somewhere like Specsavers or Vision Express so we can have a normal NHS test.  Fortunately today's was a non-NHS test as it's a private optician but they didn't charge us for the test.

@Coxy11 - you could still have the components of a BBQ and just cook stuff under the grill or in the oven.  I know it's not the same but it'll save you having to think of something different!  It was very cloudy this morning but it's brightened up really nicely now with just a little bit of a breeze so it's actually quite nice.  Not as warm as yesterday but still very warm.
