    Morning everyone,

Early one from me as I'm in the London office today.

Loving the look of that dessert @bubbs and whoohoo to the 9.5syns - fingers crossed for your next WI x

Well done for resisting the sweets @annabanana82 or indeed having a 's0d it' moment after the teensy gain. Like you say, it's all about the mindset x

I know that hill well @MrsRyan!! You look lovely - the dress and cardigan combo works really well xx I would love to wear more dresses like that but always feel a bit ridiculous as I'm only 5' 2". There were some lovely full narrow pleat skirts at the craft fayre, but they were more than floor length on me, which was a shame. Must learn to make my own stuff!

The $m spaghetti didn't happen last night as DH nursed the chicken soup - a lot of energy for two bowls of soup - but it tasted lovely. He defrosted some sour dough bread and buttered it all. I'd had WM nimble toast for breakfast so (not so politely) declined. I wasn't especially hungry afterwards like I had feared, but maybe more to do with us going to the cinema, so my mind was occupied! Saw the new Nicholas Cage film - was funny!

    Food today:
    B - overnight oats, mullerlight, cherries - HEB, 0.5
L - what ever I can find in Wa!trose as no leftovers to take in :(
D - hopefully $m spaghetti if DH makes it - HEA
    HEA - milk
Snacks - pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, hi fi bar

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Morning all.  I had a s*d it moment last night @annabanana82 so well done you on resisting.  Love the outfit @MrsRyan and I also know the Ally Pally walk very well, so well done you.  DH really wants to see the Nicolas Cage film @Coxy11 so might treat him at the weekend.

Really have no enthusiasm to do any work today but needs must.  Had some scrambled egg with tomatoes and some HM hashbrowns for breakfast, lunch is going to be more butternut squash soup and dinner is pasta bake bulked out with lots of leftover veg.

Right time for a coffee and then better crack on with work, hope you all have a good day!

Morning all, love the colour of your cardigan @Mrs_Ryan, it goes so well with your dress.  Hello @Top_Girl hope day one (and the rest of the week) goes well for you.

Grabbing a quick coffee and five minutes on here before getting back to it.  Have a funeral late this afternoon so typically, work is crazy busy :/

    Today's food:

B - fat free Greek yoghurt, apple, 45g bran flakes (HEXB)
    L - lentil soup
D - roast chicken, leftover potatoes fried up, broccoli, leftover cauli cheese, carrots and peas (love leftovers )

Hope you all have a good day

Afternoon all, just back from WI and pleased to say I am back at top end of target range, yeah!  So 2 weeks running lost l.5lb, hoping to do at least lb a week to get back to target before my holiday next month to give me a bit of leeway!

Great outfit @MrsRyan; the cardi complements the dress really well.

Welcome @Top_Girl to the thread.  Are you going to group or just doing it on your own?  You could have had some wholemeal bread with your breakfast as your HEB as you don't seem to have had one with today's plan.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom & pepper omelette (before Group) and a banana after WI - P; S; F
    L - welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    D - sausage pasta bake - P; S; F; 2

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausages 2; may have a G&T or a rum & ginger beer or 2 so 5 or 6 syns

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Well done @joedenise. These must be the best losses you've had in years!  And after you had an omelette for breakfast! 😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Good luck getting back to target.

Great to see you back posting @Top_Girl! 😊 Amazing that 4 years have passed since Top_Baby was born. Fortunately for me, the plan is so engrained that I plodded on through the lockdowns and managed to stay in target range.  Do ask if there's anything you need to know. The best change is that a couple of years ago, an extra HEA was introduced every day but there are other things too.

Good idea to send all those big clothes to the charity shops @MrsRyan. You don't ever want to be wearing those again. Great news about getting into your jeans, they're the most unforgiving of clothes. The trainers only just peeped out of your wedding outfit.🤣

You're right about cinema or something providing a distraction @Coxy11. I think that was one reason so many gained during the lockdowns was it's so easy to eat, even when you're not hungry, if you're at home night after night. Hope you find something SW friendly in Waitrose.

I love leftovers too @Jellybaby. I deliberately cook far more veg than we'll eat as I really enjoy them for lunch. Yesterday's were particularly good with some cauliflower cheese added in. Enjoy!

Glorious day and warm here. Perhaps you'll get out for a walk or run later @ruby_eskimo.

I've got a big casserole of Delia's braised red cabbage cooking at the moment as I've run out in the freezer. I'm going to freeze smaller portions this time as the spicy flavour can overwhelm a meal. NSV for me last night as I was comfortable dancing in a size 12 skirt I've avoided wearing lately. It's lined with a fixed waistband so absolutely no 'give' in it at all. I tried it on yesterday morning and again after dinner and it was fine. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, banana (F), berries (S)
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P), beetroot (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S,F), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Just realised I posted tomorrow night's dinner not tonight's!  It's a veg biryani for dinner tonight!  I make a batch of the spiced veg and freeze in portions so makes it really easy to do the biryani.  I use a small deep cereal bowl and line it with the rice, pop in the cooked spiced veg and then cover with more of the rice.  It then gets tipped onto the centre of the plate.  I looks really professional - even if I do say so myself!  Need to make another batch next time we have it though as that's the last lot from the freezer.

Well done on being able to wear your size 12 skirt with a rigid waistband - as you say very unforgiving.

I still can't make a start on making my trousers as didn't find any fabric this morning when I looked.  Will have to wait until I can find a fabric shop when we're away in the motorhome as there isn't another shop locally to try and don't think it's something I can buy online as need to be able to feel it to make sure it's the right weight.

  • Outfit looks really good Mrs R!

Well done Denise, 3lbs in 2 weeks is amazing (we'll ignore Bubbs, we are in a club of slow losers!)

Had to have a battle with the watch and the watch won! Have to average 50 mins of exercise a day this month according to the challenge it has set me, so walked to work this morning, an hour to do just over 3 1/2 miles, which I was quite pleased with, at least I have a few various options for routes but have the joy of uphill going home :( But hey, I will have a go and if necessary will get the bus, although will try not to.  If I can do that 2 days a week, may be able to do 3, but will definitely need the car 2 days, I would save fuel, get my steps in and hopefully lose weight & tone.

Could one of the Ally Pally walkers let me have some info, always looking for new walks?
A smile costs little but creates much :)
