Just spoken to my DSis and it was her birthday on Friday and she was saying that she didn't get any cards on her actual birthday, in fact no post at all so doesn't think the postman came round at all.  She had some cards on the Thursday and a couple on Saturday, one of which was mine.  I posted it on Tuesday 2nd class, a friend of hers sent the card 1st class on Wednesday and that didn't arrive until Saturday either!  So it is definitely hit and miss when something arrives.  I'm going to have to buy some more stamps soon as down to my last one but I just think they are so expensive for the service we get now - used to be much better value years ago when you could guarantee a 1st class letter would arrive the next day and a 2nd class within 2 days, and very often the next day as well!

Just had our tagine and couscous and couldn't believe how spicy it was!  I know when I put it in the freezer it was a bit bland so I added a bit more tagine spice mix but think I must have been a bit heavy handed!  We both ate it but definitely very hot and spicy!

Haven't done much crochet - just a couple of rows but will get a bit more done later.  I want to make a few of the face washcloths to add to my friend's birthday present - not sure when I'll next see her but hopefully I can get a couple done before I do!

My DD1 lives in Sittingbourne too @Coxy11 and that's where I go to group as well.  It's a fair way but I prefer the consultant so it's worth it.  I also usually do a bit of shopping in Sainsbugs when I'm there so it's worth the longer journey.  Hope you enjoy the Craft Fayre - not been to one for a long time but probably just as well as I tend to buy things I'm not going to get round to using!

  • Was a tad misbehaved on Saturday, went to see my friend so she could offload about her DS, but had naughties while out for coffee. We also went out to eat that evening, been to that restaurant many times and is generally sw friendly, but it was chaos in there and our waiter must have gone off shift because we fell between all of the other staff, so the waiter that took our order must have misheard what we said, (there was tortuous music!) so we got chips instead of the rice which is normally served, we had actually asked for a side of chips in addition to the rice. We skipped dessert though as the music was driving us nuts and we had to shout at each other.

Have a curry cooking at the moment, have cooked some chicken for lunch, so will cook some pasta to have with that & have overnight oats made for breakfast, so feeling productive!

Shame about the gain Bubbs, well done to the losers

Sounds like you're straight back on plan @Gettingtherequickly, so let's hope you can rescue the week. 🤞

I'd really miss breakfast @bubbs, I don't know how you can do it. That meat for your lunch looks delicious though. 😋

I miss breakfast when  am up normal time if i don't have it, but if you don't get up till 8.30, then have 2 x cuppa, by that time 9-9.15, make bed, have a shower, get dressed dry hair looking nearer 10, too late for breakfast then!

    Beef was left from yesterday
