Certainly looks as though you could do with upping your syns a bit @bubbs; 31 syns is very low for the week.  I don't think you need to have the full 105 - after all that's a maximum.  I'm aiming for around 70 or so for the week at the moment which seemed to work last week at least.  Hopefully it will this week too!

@beanielou - batch cooking when you are up to it is definitely the way to go.  I'm planing on batch cooking some beef bourguignon as I've had the beef for it in the freezer for a few months now so needs using up; just need to buy some shallots so that I can do that.

I've also got some goat on the bone in the freezer so going to make up a batch of goat curry.  Planning on using it for a couple of meals this month but hoping I've got enough meat to make more than 4 portions, although it's difficult to tell with the amount of bone there is in it how far it will stretch.  Again that will be used for a couple of meals this month.

Planning is also a good Idea @beanielou especially if you can make use of some of the things you do batch cook.  Thinks like pasta with just a simple tomato sauce is very quick and easy to do.  Again you could batch cook some tomato sauce and freeze portions to use later.  You can use it on it's own or add some mince or veg to it to make it a bit different.

If you have plenty of batch cooked meals in the freezer it can also help at the end of the month when the money is getting short before the next lot of money comes in.

    Good luck going forward.

That's definitely not enough syns @bubbs. I think the absolute minimum recommended is 35 and you haven't even reached that. (where's that naughty emoji when you need it 🤣).

Instead of extra food, why not try adding some syns to your meals like more cheese on burgers or chocolate on your puddings? Or mango chutney or prawn crackers with curry? 🤔

Maybe you could try to have both HEA and your HEB every day along with 5 syns - that way you would be getting the minimum recommended by the plan.  So have that crumbled skinny crunch over your ice cream tonight.

I know.  It's really strange.  I think we're all just throwing things out there to try which may or may not work!   It definitely defies logic!

@bubbs is there any chance it could be hormonal? We have a lady in group that puts 1lb on every 4 weeks

Yes, but you're much lighter now than when you started. It's hard to explain but there's research out there about bodies hanging on to fat because there's not enough fat producing food going in. I don't think it's about the HEXs so much (they're extras, so optional) but the lack of syns. The HEXs give you healthier syns but any would do.

I'm just trying to think through how the plan works and they've built in up to 18 syns a day of HEXs and up to 15 for other syns. If you're having far less than that then you're hanging on to fat.

It's just a theory,. I don't know if it works. I'm just thinking about anything you could try to shift a few pounds. 🤔
